Hey brotha! Hope you're doing good! My pop is wanting to build out a trailer to pull behind his trike. He's been looking at youtube. He found your videos and called me. He was excited and told me he saw this really cool motorcycle guy... He sent me your video. I told him, pop,,, that's a good friend of mine! lol good times!! Life is good! Blessings from Arizona!
@@texaslonestarriderHe really enjoys your videos! He bought a 4×8 trailer and wants to make a teardrop. He said something about keeping the torque weight under 50 pounds and the trailer weight under 500. I'll be dropping a video where him and I went to Colorado on trikes for a week. It was fun!
I also watched your video review of the Fire Maple FMS 118A. I have a question. We have all seen the popular canister stove stands that are available for attaching to the bottom of a canister providing a wider more stable base. Are you aware of anyone out there making a stand of some sore for using a canister in the inverted position for when you want to run this stove or the FMS 118A with the liquid form of the fuel. I have seen other stoves out there that have a stabilizer design for an inverted canister. Would be nice to have an aftermarket accessory available for stabilizing a canister when using it upside down like you may occasionally do with one of these stoves. What can you tell me?
I could use one of these thingy's. when the power goes down. heck all I'm going to do is practice with it all of the time any ways. Also how about some advice on a couple powerful flash lights'? one that throws a ton of piercing light way out there. and another with massive search abilities just to be prepared to find people in Oklahoma tornadoes. we just had like 30 very big trees fall on the property. thank you
I assume if you burned 100% butane inverted/liquid you could burn pure butane at fairly low temps too after warming it up under your jacket to get the vaporization started in the first place?
If you have scale. Could you show the fuel canister weight before and after with timer to see fuel use. Empty fuel canister weight. Full canister weight. Then useable. Sorry to be too specific. Love your vids
Just watched another vid of a Canadian guy using this stove side by side with the MSR Windpro and the Firemaple was sputtering inverted at 0 degrees (not sure if he meant F or C?) while the Windpro was working really well inverted. Mind you he tested them both without a pot on them so maybe it’s easier for the Windpro to heat the generator tube quicker? 🤔
@@martinerhard8447 he did the test in what looked like an enclosed garage so there was no wind at all, but can’t remember if there was a heat reflector or not
@@impermanenthuman8427 A heat reflector will typically heat up the whole stove more and this could lead to better function of the preheat tube. But eh...for winter camping I wont risk anything with cheaper china stoves
Horrible product. In the short ise ive had with it the gas valve has become hard to turn and the short braided hose already has a leak. Not worth the hassle. Best to go with any other competitor
