It is wonderful to see these useful tools for camping, especially a small oven for tents.. but unfortunately there is no such thing near me in my area and this is sad. What is important is success in your work, believe me, and I follow you every day... from Algeria.
I totally like the idea of a low height burner, remote from the gas bottle. The lower height makes it much safer, not just in a tent but anywhere really. Good review mate, like it :) Warren
Thanks for this video, I've been after a low level burner, and being titanium is a bonus, a bit dear, but the advantages of it will pay for itself. I guess it'll fit inside on of my titanium pots too. Arriving tomorrow 😊Cheers mate 👍
Hi Dan👍 Nice stove and being Ti is a plus on the weight. I've had an MSR Whisperlite Universal stove for years now, same remote style, just not Ti but can use any fuel whether gas or liquid. Mine is heavier at about 1/2lb+ but is rock solid in performance. Love the remote feature, having the fuel separate from the stove is a plus for me. I wish MSR could make one out of Ti but it is already a very expensive stove so I can only imagine the cost. Thanks for the demo review, sweet video.
the gas heater pipe is a real help in cold weather, bit annoyed they didnt stick a piezo ignitor on mine, also the mesh bag is a ballache to get the stove in and out of, other than that I quite like mine but usually take the BRS hornet since it fits into my little Ti cup.
G'day Dan, yep a lot to like about a remote design, for the reasons you mentioned; I'm seriously considering one. Like the preheat tube on this model too and that'd be the same moolah as you'd spend on a SOTO Windmaster over here; @ roughly 110 AUD, it's fair enough for good quality IMO. Also; I often use a larger, (taller), 450 g cannister for a picnic/day walk or fishing session; this way it wont make the set up even taller and potentially more likely to topple. I'm with ya, a hard case is a must though, just gotta find the perfect sized container, maybe a zebra lunch box if it fits......do you reckon it would ? alternatively another cooking vessel or go plastic. Thanks for the follow up review mate. Cheers Duke.
Hi Dan . I usually use a trangia or twig stove but do have a cheap Chinese burner from ages ago . Was going to take it on some mid length wanders but not sure I trust it . That looks good option . Didn't think of stability issues . Anyway take care fella 👍
Great preview, I've been looking at this in South Africa this last week, this could be it. Just looking for a decent review on the Fire Maple FMS116G. Both could become a possibility. Thanks👍👍👍
Looks like the dpower stove. Difference is the dpower is made of stainless steel and does not have the pre-heat tube. There is another model of this firemaple that does not have a pre-heat tube this one is the latest one i think. The dpower is a bit heavier because of the material
bought one from your review 9 months ago 👍. Yesterday had a fire situation when FireMaple Blade 2 steel braided tube started to emit gas and caught fire while doing eggs (large flame about 10cm from the unit). I did turn it off as the valve is at the other end but was a wtf moment. My camping trip was later aborted as I did not bring a 2ndstove. Amazon is replacing it 😁, but parts (like a spare tube) seem very hard to find online? Has anybody seen parts for these to carry on trips.
Hello :) I would be very grateful if you confirm - did u use Esbit Titanium Pot 0,75? I'm trying to find the right size stove for it :) Thanks for the video! :)
