Same. I have friends who've done fire poi for 15 years, and Sam makes them look like a bunch of kids playing with their first hula hoop or jump rope. Effing incredible.

This definitely looks like an activity you should collect your hair in a ponytail for.

The dart, while hot, does not come in a prolonged contact with your hair, swinging at that speed, so it really can't set anything other than, let's say fuel, on fire. There's just not enough time for the energy transfer to occur.

As a fire dart spinner myself, I can assure you hair is an issue. Overall, tying it up can actually be more dangerous- if the cord wraps around your bun or ponytail rather then your neck during neck spins, you can risk severe burns. Sam Tobey knows what she's doing

No, it's not because your hair is not constantly in contact with the fire. Also, I am pretty sure this flow artist knows what she is doing. There is a huge difference between watching and practicing flow arts and skill toys.

this woman is so talented it's unbelievable. At first I thought there must be some cinematography at work because some of those moves looked impossible, then it slowed it down and showed these little movements that stopped it from wrapping around her, and the skill it would take to get those movements just right at that speed is unthinkable.

In my old day I had one person that was practicing it but never let it on fire. Pretty dope that she uses the combination of regular boy when she goes down four-point clover as well as her own stuff that can only be done with that. Good stuff, takes practice you can tell she’s confident

wow this is quite the performance that paraffin dripping on the pavement at the beginning was amazing 1.41 we call them anti spins with the nunchaku then strate into the stalls. a lot of cross over move I do see you make it look so easy its not I made mine. hit myself on head loads to learning that neck move all great fun though iv recently found love for the 3 section staff so lots of props to master i have
