Lost Island Themepark finally announced a new coaster for 2025, and it's not what we expected. Fire Runner will be an RMC Raptor single-rail coaster with three inversions and a top speed of 52 miles an hour.
In this analysis video, Dan gives his thoughts on this news and how it fits within Lost Island. Will it help the park to draw better crowds? It definitely can't hurt! What do you think of Lost Island getting a Raptor?

While I think a family coaster should’ve been the next new coaster, this coaster will be flashy and smooth and will provide the park with another 48” height requirement coaster along with Nopuko (which is getting brand-new track segments for 2025 to replace those incredibly rough parts). This ride will stand out amongst the other Raptors as it will have GREAT themeing. With this, Matugani, and a smooth Nopuko, Lost Island will have a STACKED top three.

That makes sense. I hadn't heard that Nopuko was getting new track; that's great news since those rough spots are just brutal. I loved Matugani, so no arguments there at all. That's also a good point about it having strong theming. The fire realm already looks cool, so this should fit well in that space.

@@tomorrowsociety just heard it a couple days ago. Vekoma did drop those brutal segments during the transportation process following its refurbishment. They are responsible for replacing the track to make up for the damage and for two years they’ve been performing bandage fixes to avoid having to eat the cost of new track.

@@eliasmertens9313 That's interesting. If nothing else, I hope they fix the moment near the beginning where my head flung forward so violently. That would go a long way to making it a better coaster.
