It's one of the most important elements of fire spinning safety: what fabrics are safe to wear? Like many of you, I've long heard that synthetics like polyester are bad news for fire dancing but I'd never actually seen this play out with my own two eyes. Today I show you a polyester burn test, a cotton burn test, as well as a burn test featuring some fabrics that are blends to give you an idea of what you can expect with each. This is essential knowledge for fire dancing safety! Whether you're engaging in full time fire performance or are a casual fire dancer, this knowledge should be a cornerstone of how you learn fire spinning.
