Fire vs Unholy (Hansol vs Revolutio) Mage Duels MoP 

well yeah we want to see more!! in retrospect, what mistakes did you see yourself making against Revolutio, and what do you think you could have done differently to change the outcome of the losing matches?

Drunkèn Zuluhed It's very hard to say. The DK has so many CC breakers, sometimes I play to my full potential and still lose. Mistakes I had done were very small ones and to even come close to winning, I have to play nearly perfect when it comes to landing damage.

its a dk vs a fire mage...THAT is unfair...

Syfiewow That's an entirely different factor. The players chose what class they can play and can re roll if they want to. On the other hand, choosing locations for duels as an advantage is unfair.

Pillars help the dk a lot more than the mage, so if they played on a map with pillars the dk would have the advantage...same thing

Syfiewow That's the whole point. Range have the advantage in open locations because there is no LoS. Why do you think all the arena maps have LoS objects? If they didn't then range can just free cast and not worry about LoS.

bulletprooff1k pillars = better for dk, open area = better for mage..how is either one more fair? I would say pillars make it far more unfair then the open area, this coming from me as a mage knowing what can happen.

Maybe just depends, like I said earlier duels are hard to judge. You have all your cds and you have time to prepare yourself mentally especially if you duel them more then once. Now you know their play style and their weak spots. Open world you can get jumped and not have all your cd like you would in a duel. Arenas or instanced pvp you may pop a burst macro or line up something and then shit your stunned or feared. Its chess in a duel except with one piece and within boundaries like on a chess board because you cant leave the duel area.

well..at the time this was made conversion was pretty much the only healing talent worth using..and basically dk vs mage is just sit back and live as the dk and the mage will eventually just die..

Yeah dude, the removal of the dead-zone was really a game-breaker. Mages either avoid taking large chunks of physical damage with kiting, or usually have CS and cast-juking as a major arsenal against ranged opponents. Ranged, CS is worthless, you can't avoid large amounts of damage in most situations, and pillars are a larger liability than they are assets. There's honestly little more a mage can do other than flat out be better than the hunter they are facing... in which case why make a friggin video?

Hansol You're sick :o You probably don't remember me, but thx for the free skillcapped account btw, it expired on my birthday hehe. Got from 1.8k to 2.1k in 3v3 and 2v2 on 2 characters.. have soon 2.2k cr in 2v2 on a class i only started playing late this season; it really helped a lot!!! :)

DK has a spell called Dark Simulacrum, look it up

Excidium96 he just use his shiled which makes him immune to ccs and dmg + he silence mage right after that he use dark simulation (which copy the next used spell) So if the mage trinket its useless cuz he cant do anything while the barrier up so he just block, and the dk gets the block :* )

Shaun Newell pretty much. usually dks sit in blood pres for the extra hp and they get a defense bonus aswell I think :)

Blood pres, at the time, gave a hp boost, dmg reduction, and armor increase i do believe. All a dk needs to worry about in this match up living and the mage will eventually just die. More stam so there is more dmg that needs to be done and conversion heals more, and less dmg taken overall.
