Mad respect for Jonathan for his Focus, Commitment and Sheer Fu*king Will when reacting to those weapon, without being constantly distracted by Chun Li’s bakery.
"It's funny how COD are moving away from realistic firearms while Fortnite is moving towards realistic firearms". It's scarily accurate how Jonathan fully describes the current state of both games despite not playing them.
@@brandonganzman4684well the Jak kit explained it very well, there is no way a kit can change the fire rate irl (unless you pay the Auto Tax on your weapon)
Having Jonathan Ferguson keeper of firearms and artillery at the royal armouries museum in the UK in Fortnite feels like the most Fortnite thing they could do.
Special styles with different T-shirts. Emotes when his character picks up a cursed firearm and he looks grieved by what the devs have done now. A wrap so all his weapons are the real world colours. Back bling of an emotional support StG44 (?) But what’s his glider and pickaxe?
On the other hand, the person capturing gameplay for him didn't remove the gun "wraps" (skins) which aren't part of the design but a player choice. I hate when they do that and not tell Johnathan that it's a skin and not part of the design.
@@fredbyoutubingthat and (although it’s been a few years since I played) iirc guns do eject shells, but they turned down some graphical settings, so they’re not visible in the video
@@skelreal M'y bad, I didn't even notice while using wraps myself. It's an odd choice but maybe that's to make them legally distinct and more cartoonist?
My son and I briefly met Mr. Ferguson last summer at the Royal Armoury in Leeds. We didn't want to take up a lot of his time, so my son forgot to ask him if they were going to make a Fortnite episode. Thanks for reading his mind!
It is getting better as Dave is learning more about firearms as well. He's come a long way from the earliest videos where he first started chiming in. He's regularly making insightful comments and references of late.
In Creative, you can take any guns from every single season. Could be a fun to have a community post letting fans decide on weapons from Fortnite for Jonathan to view.
I’ve been a huge fan of the H&K Mk23 ever since Metal Gear Solid used it but this is the first time I’ve ever seen just how HUGE the blasted thing actually is.
Have you tried putting them back on again after hours of wearing them? Those things aren’t coming off until he’s sure he’s done needing them, trust me 😅
Does the UK really not do toilet plungers? They're used for a completely differnt task than a brush. Brushes are for cleaning; plungers are for clearing jams.
I would highly recommend having Jonathan take a look at the handguns in Receiver 2. As well as what the tape narrator has to say about the history of each.
Looking through footage of pre-Doom FPS, I think Doom actually *is* the first FPS with cartridge cases ejecting. Surprisingly few even show the player's current gun in their "hand" (Wolf 3D may actually be the first). 68th week of asking for episode on Bullet Girls Phantasia. 44th week of asking for Loadout on games not keeping track of the round in the chamber between reloads.
We need a new tarkov episode! The recent update completely reworked recoil, added the 9A-91, VSK-94, MCX SPEAR, RPD, RPDN, and overhauled the SKS and OP-SKS.
No, what weird take. Why would they put that John-a-thon person in Fortnite, he's a nobody. They should however put Jonathan in the game. That would be awesome.
Please Jonathan Ferguson, the keeper of Firearms & Artillery at the Royal Armouries museum in the UK, break down the weapons from *METAL GEAR SOLID 3* before the remake comes out. So many weapons in MGS3 to react and comment on like the Patriot's infinite ammo magazine, the EZ tranq gun, Snake's customized officer M1911A1, Snake whittling the pistol grip to use a knife for CQC, Ocelot's SAA juggling skills, The End's paratrooper tranquilizer Mosin Nagant, the Davey Crockett recoil-less nuclear launcher and Eva's chinese mauser clone. There are so many more other interesting trivias and weapons in MGS3 so please gamespot and Johnathan make a video for the game.
I always wanted Jonathan Ferguson, keeper of Firearms and Artillery at the Royal Armouries Museum in the UK to react to fortnite's arsenal. Never expected for it to actually happen. Love to see him react to some of the more wacky weapons in the game. This was a really entertaining video, Dave and Johnathan. Bravo!
i don't even play Fortnite but i would pay for a Jonathan character pack, the melee weapon is a emotional support mp5, gun is a em2. glider is his jacket
The "closest" types of equipment i can think off in regards to the "Cluster Clinger" must be either the german "Panzerknacker" anti tank mine or the japanese "lunge mine", at least in terms of resembling a toilet plunger
I'm actually glad that the Fortnite MP5 is finally correct in this Chapter after 4 chapters of getting it wrong. (HK Slap vs AK/right side charging handle)
Up until the John Wick collab added the Tac AR MPX pretty much every rifle had some variation of the same right side charging animations, and from Chapter 3 onwards unique animations became the norm
At some point i think you guys should look into weapons in fortnite's creative mode where you can find older versions of current guns as well as tons of different and more interesting ones from throughout the games seasons
Seconded, they barely scratched the surface, these are the guns from the newest season which is quite a departure from the previous gun selection, which had a lot more faithful depictions of the IRL counterparts : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vU9wzKLfOgA.html
This isn't quite correct. Save for the current SCAR (Striker), guns from previous chapters were often much more faithful to the IRL counterparts despite the more cartoony look. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vU9wzKLfOgA.html
More PS2 era “realistic” games that Mr. F can see where the limitations were but still show us real stuff would be great. BLACK, SOCOM, Mercenaries to name a few.
The reason casings are not leaving the gun is because the graphic settings are lower, and on lower settings casings are not ejected to increase performance.
I honestly think that the ranger pistol is Springfield’s Armory brand new Echelon and the Nemesis AR is the AK200 and the Ballistic Shield is a riot shield with the Echelon
This episode was awesome 😂 Was hoping you guys would eventually look at Fortnite’s weapons. Hoping for a part 2 if you guys go into Creative, you can look at a lot more of the original and wackier guns in game 😅
Request for the editor, when Jonathan or Dave mentions a specific visual detail, please have the in-game footage show that AFTER it's said, not before. I keep having to rewind to then see the thing being mentioned!
What’s crazy is I’m pretty sure you guys haven’t actually looked at the weapons upgrade bench in this season where you can ADD AND CHANGE parts of the firearm, magazines, scopes, muzzle break vs suppressor, or none at all Stand corrected, just hadn’t made it to that part yet lol
I really love these videos. they're so fun. Fortnite has become one of my favorite games over the course of the last year, and I've been waiting for this!
I’m all for the shift of back to realistic or looking realistic guns over what COD has went down. If it is fantasy or artistic or cartoon style game then that gets a pass from me. The toilet plunger with cluster of grenades sounds like a raving Rabbids weapon
15:00 I have not! I own an AMD-65, and I have not flick-reloaded. I tend to use the "Cold War" reload, where I take my shooting (right) hand off, swap mags, and rack the round and keep the sights on target.
I’m happy when Jonathan checking out about weapons from Fortnite but many weapons we missed are Accuracy International Arctic Warfare rifle, Barrett .50 rifle, AR-15 rifle, and more.
Not sure if you guys know but every time a guntuber says “Trunion” in a video, Brandon Herrera gets a box of steel cased 7.62x39 thrown through his living room window by the ghost of Mikhail Kalashnikov.
If Fortnite placed Jonathan Ferguson as a playable skin, they'd probably buff the heck out of anything he'd find due to his impressive real-world firearm knowledge in the UK. Everything would be yellow legendary to the touch. Lol
How about Soldier of Fortune/Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix? I am actually curious for the second game specifically, because it has experimental weapon named XM29 OICW.
I was just watching the SCAR episode of Loadout and it apparently the firearms used to eject cases when that was filmed…do wonder when that feature/effect was removed.
8:46 y’know “emotional support __________” is like a huge meme but because of military acronyms and that “support weapon” is an existing phrase meaning a number of different things I think Jonathan, however intentionally, punned.
Is it ok to suggest previous gen games for reaction/review? Namely: Killzone, Resistance Franchise, Brink, Turok, Timeshift, etc? Perhaps just a compilation of the each series more memorable or iconic weapons, since the games mentioned are mainly comprised of sci-fi elements.
Pushing as always for you guys to have Jonathan cover Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and to cover the M8 and MRI Caseless specifically as well. I have been posting for you to do this in every video a year back now.
