For people who are talking shit about either dancers, just watch and learn from them. Try to understand their perspective and/in there dance. You guys are just saying stuff based on your experience and i'm pretty sure it's not as much as them. Majority of you who are judging them don't even have a name in the game and you have the nerve to state your comments as FACTS. Your comments are not relevent. Props to both dancers, it really was a good exchange! 🙏🙏 (Sorry my english is not very good, hope you get my point. Peace)

Me too. He has a surprising amount of mobility for a man of his stature, allot of versatility style and cleanliness too I personally preferred him in this particular battle, but I agree with the decision.

Lol layoff the crack pipe buddy. There is no such thing as "modern times" when it comes to Popping. You are defined by your teachers, idols, foundations, where you're from, OGs (etc...). Monstapop is a household name on the popping scene in CANADA (not to mention Montreal) and that's even before Greenteck. (If there were no Monsta pop there wouldn't be any Greenteck)

@@Phanohm Monsta pop is like many others who have skill BUT couldn't evolve it further. Like Krillin from DBZ, unimpressive OG's. Greenteck is Vegeta. You see Monsta getting murked left & right. I don't care about his local fame, on the big stage he doesn't cut it. Fuck his earned props, it's all about being #1

Talk that shit Monsta Pop !!!! He Clearly won that One, displayed his Range with his ground moves, hit him with tuts and animation. Monsta Pop was Actually Battling His Opponent whereas Firebac looked like he was just getting down.

He seemed pretty confident that he won and probably wasn't happy with the result. 99% of SDF is hugs and companionship but you gotta allow for some saltiness, too. It's a competition at the end of the day! :-)

Motoxi R yes. Firebac style is based a lot on boog style. Within that style Firebac used large amounts of styles. A big difference for me was how firebac played around with tempo,space,Levels and light and shade in execution of move. Monsta pop is normally more dynamic compared to this battle. He felt a tad static. Monsta pop did use vocabulary in his preferred style but overall the dynamics of execution was better with firebac.

Monsta pop demonstrates the TRUE meaning of popping and hard hitting. Firebac is cool but his style would be a lot cleaner if all his damn hats would stop moving when he did!

I will be severe. Those guys have high technique and sophisticated combos but in terms of groove and harmonizing to the music I think that this is the big drawback. I thought popping was a dance that had once upon the time a groove element called boogalol Dance means on the music. Likewise instrument if played not in harmony and "in the pocket" it is just noise.Moves , If just thrown for the sake of beauty and muscles contraction + flexibility mastering it is no more dance but gymnastic or painting if you want. Whatever....

I never said he didn't had technique, he was too hype which is why he went off beat. We all know who he is and what he is capable of, bt discrediting dancers from different cultures and styles is not cool. Take the time read the entire paragraphs he has written thats the definition of butthurt.

Mount pop guy is just terrible. Never seen him hype a previous crowd ever. This is a dead crowd tho. Firebac is insane. How the crowd is quiet doing some of the stuff he did is straight up disrespectful
