The best use of a Quint i've seen in a long time. Great communications from on-scene officer, Firefighters geared up and ready to go on arrival, Position for aerial operations, Blitz Fire deployment, fast water on fire, knockdown, fast deployment of handlines, water supply established quickly for the quint. NICE JOB! Quint of all trades.
1 hell of a job guys. that's the way to do it. come out ready to go and hose going where they need them. 1 question what is a header it was said to be a header on the way in?
Just stumbled upon this video... he's bashing people but the first due "truck" (interesting because it has a pump, and did no truck duties the entire video) pulled a fucking preconnect blitzfire to the rear. I'd be embarrassed if this was my company.
The officer and driver have the ability to control the siren and the horn. They usually have foot pedals for the Q2B and the air horn. But in this case the officer was busy getting all of his stuff on so I'm pretty certain the driver was handling the siren. There are also sometimes toggle switches where you can control the siren, which I'm pretty sure the driver was using.
@jays106 bro.. it's portage...I could do better with a garden hose...... had a house fire myself one day..I ran into the house and put it out by myself only to have the fire dept come and cry cause I did it myself.
