Mighty Switch Force 2 is my favorite firefighting game. It isn't especially niche to recommend a WayForward platformer but the first installment was more of a speedrunner's police puzzle platformer and the firefighting factor fit right in for the second game. I've heard of this one and some of the other "fireman genre" contemporaries and would like to check this one out. I guess people who would have wanted to fight fires as a kid went into making zombie games like Dead Rising (which may be worth some comparison for rescuing people, the timer factor and had both Japanese and Canadian devs) because it is easier to pitch and easier to systemize. It is telling when they want to create a non-living threat which targets you and come up with sentient flame tornadoes with health bars despite a grounded setting. I'd definitely like to see more experiments with this sort of thing since that Zettai Zetsumei Toshi series got an instalment recently.
Haha there's bossfires and everything thin this game. Mighty Switch Force series is great. Kinda hope they'll put them out in a physical version somehow. Thank you for the comment!
