I’m in NC & the homeless we’re staying in this old restaurant & some how it caught on fire 🔥 they claimed the homeless started the fire but I believe they wanted them out so you know the rest … Hats off to these firemen they are the true Hero’s 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

What is the name of the business and what was stored? Any chemicals? When I search Ian Long's business in building and this vid, all I come up with is Ian David Long identified in 2018 ss active shooter at Thousand Oaks bar.

Directing a fire stream into a ventilation hole defeats the purpose of cutting it in the first place. Underwriters Laboratories research the effectiveness of exterior fire streams that pass through openings in a structure fire and determined that the water column of a fire stream will entrain a massive amount of air as it enters the structure. UL also determined that the greater the distance is between the nozzle and the opening the greater the amount of air and oxygen the fire department introduces to the inside atmosphere of a structure fire. One estimate claims that as much as 15,000 CFM of air is entrained from just one fire stream. That’s equivalent to approximately 110,000 gallons of air per minute. The fire stream from just one ladder nozzle only delivers about 500 gallons of water per minute. On balance this fire stream application is actually feeding the fire more oxygen than water which actually improves the fires ability to burn. Chief Hughes Battalion 1 (retired) Chicago Fire Dept.
Seems those poor homeless aren’t aware of the magnitude of this fire!! I surmise if it gets worse the fire dept or police will have them move their belongings!!😢
The members have to take breaks, you try wearing the coat boots air tanks and tools in the heat and see how you feel. I have 5 firefighters in my family and they work HARD!
Rookies. FDNY would have had 6 tower ladders a few plain ladder trucks about 20 engines and 100 FFs 😂😂😂😂 jk this fire was def a lost cause from the start
