There’s a thought, put water on the fire and it goes out. Amazing

Based on what little we can see in this video… 1. How many seconds into this video would you say that water was being applied to this fire? 2. How can you tell?
@Rescue-mt7fl
@Rescue-mt7fl 2 месяца назад
All valid questions. Conceivably, however, if the fire managed to get to the level demonstrated during initial attack to now, there are many more issues to account for what went wrong to get them to this point. We know that aggressive application of water from the most expedient location possible accounts for the greatest number of lives saved. There is a large volume of fire demonstrating that it could be reached in multiple compartments from outside, which is more often than not faster by minutes than interior. The char level on the exterior would demonstrate that the heat release rate of that fire had been increasing in the exterior and interior for several minutes prior to extinguishment. With the things you can infer from what we see, large amounts of fire were bypassed to drive interior vs aggressive water application to present fire. Again, if the fire reached the level demonstrated only while personnel were inside, then far more needs to be questioned on command and control, situational awareness and effectiveness of those interior operations. Either way, possibly not the best tactics based on what we now know about best practices and how to rapidly control fire and save lives.

This is REALLY SIMPLE! That fire should have been completely knocked down within the first minute of arrival using tank water. No threat, no danger. Instead, they took the Hero Route and allowed the fire to spread and threaten the victims they were supposedly searching for and expose themselves at an unnecessarily risk. Sure looked exciting though! Notice they didn't even have an escape ladder set up. This is called being Two-Dimensional Reactors instead of a Three-Dimensional Thinkers. Look at the kink in the supply line and the back pressure it is causing. Like in most of these videos, this fire should have been out long before the video started.

Hey all you keyboard warriors take the test for the FDNY and see if you can pass it and then show they how you feel it’s suppose to be done! If anyone knows anything about the FDNY then they know that the trk companies go in in do searches above the fire floors and without lines! So before you start bad mouthing them maybe you should learn how they do the job! Their engine companies fight the fire trk companies do searches and open up! If your a real FF and have been in situations where everything turns to shit instantly then you know that sometimes we don’t always follow text books or what others feel should be done! You get out anyway possible without dying! May not look pretty but you’re alive at the end of the day!
@eriksand9262

@kevinjones1993 then edit your original comment and say they shouldn't be on the second floor, not the roof. Because you look like the idiot when you say they shouldn't have been on the roof when they weren't on the roof. 🤷‍♂️
