this was reported as a vacant Lawyers office, the encampment was against the front walls and the fire spread in thru a broken window cause a internal fire to rage Reported by German in Venice . Homeless encampment fire burns down a two story building
Don't you know by now, that homeless encampments have the full run of any city & if they cause a structure to be destroyed, that is just collateral damage.
I guess the fire departments haven’t figured out that if you actually move that stream of water around and hit the fire and not just let it pour into one hole the fire would go out.
What they need on scene is a feed of what that helicopter sees. The water is not hitting much of anything that is burning. Helo has the best angle to direct the flows.
@Steve Borchard - I like your thinking. That is a potential $Billion dollar business that I cannot believe hasn't been thought of yet (computer software/ FLIR thermal imaging, etc.)
Ladder pipes can be effective but you have to have somebody on the tip of that aerial ladder moving that stream around hitting fire not washing the roof. You see it with almost every fire that LA City fights ladder pipe streams that are doing nothing & and deck guns that just over shoot the building
two types of fires...offensive, to actively try to save the building and things inside said building by attacking the fire...defensive, protect structures around the building that is burning but not attempt to put firefighters lives in danger by asking them to risk their lives for a structure that cannot be saved.
Right!!!!! Let's just stream all four at the middle of the building, not at the fuel or flames, watch the dirty water run off go all over!!! Millions of dollars in equipment, man power, and water with a bunch of hero's that don't know what to do!!!
Whoever's video taping these structure fires in a neighborhood or a business area and you're looking for an address or what that building is haven't you ever heard of city aerial maps that show you where all the locations are satellite view I live in the Midwest I can go on there and look at it from my own house look at any town and any state will Google maps
It seems that the lines are placing water into areas where there is no fire in the centra? Should they not be moving outwards into the burning areas to put the fire out? Appreciate they are making sure the fire in the dark areas is out but surely they should concentrate on what is actually on fire!! After 11.30 they are now placing the jets on the actual fire to much better effect. They should be concentrating, as the commentator is saying on the saving the "building on the right"!
They're not worried about the adjacent building because they aren't spraying it's facade or extinguishing the closest flames. As has been commented, for some reason they appear to be soaking something in the building.
@@hypsyzygy506 watch more of these videos,,,, it's the same thing!! No water at the fuel or flame!!! City of LA or the fire department is trying to get rid of the homeless.
I don't see anyone fighter a fire in this video either!!! Just some guys spraying water in the MIDDLE of building thats burning at the perimeter!! You need to watch more LA fire videos!! I'm beginning to think there told to let them burn to the ground!! Gets rid of those useless buildings!!!
I used to live in LA county. 40 years ago. It was bad, back then. Sorry for my bad puns. I left Chico, and moved back down to Modesto. Central California. But Stockton is nice, no? Ha ha...
One main problem is that the buildings are too close together making it difficult to fight a fire. And the encampment in that alley or street makes it impossible to get close in order to get water or other stuff to put it out.
@@stevehamman4465 Yes I see the water being sprayed on the building & for your information, I am not a city slicker. I live in a rural area in Georgia.
You can see the tents when towards the end of the video they show how large the fire was when they first got on site!! Yea!! definitely, definitely, definitely a homeless encampment!!
