If you do read 'HUSH', please make sure you read 'HEART OF HUSH' immediately after it. No spoilers, but 'Hush' just introduced Tommy Elliot to the lore, 'Heart Of Hush' is what really developed him into the villain you saw in 'City'. If you ONLY read 'Hush', you're basically only getting half of the story.

Hi Miranda-The Disruptor isn’t bugged, you just can’t see the Disruptor signal being blocked by the environment because you’re in Detective Mode. Try using the Disruptor outside of Detective Mode and watch the signal travel to the target. If the target is in the open without any obstructions, it should work.

"I'm in your house, Bruce!" I always love bane in this game. They did him fair

1.Disruptor fails because it does not work through objects (walls, railings...). This is the only one of the games that allows you to waste ammo, in Knight you at least keep your ammunition. 2.Use square+triangle to destroy weapons when you have a 5x combo. It's insanely useful against guns, tasers and shields because they can't pick them up again. Hope this clears up some of the confusion. Best of luck.

Best version of Firefly. He's not an A-lister and rather one-dimensional character but certainly a spectacle.

If you want to see more from Harvey Bullock, I might reccomend the show Gotham if you haven't , it stars Gordon and is set directly after the death of the Waynes, it features a lot of interesting takes on the Batman rouges, as well as an interesting take on Bruce making a slow transition from that kid in the alley to the Batman. It also features in a notable role, the guy who plays Cal Kestis (I'm rubbish at spelling the names of most of the Gotham cast).

Just FYI: When your shock gloves are charged, you can directly punch anyone including those with shields or armor.

Firefly is pretty much a C-lister enemy of Batman. They had NO reason to go hard with that character yet his fight and all the build-up to him is absurdly epic. I love it.

Miranda, you’ve played three games with the same gliding system and you don’t get that you can aim at the pressure pads with just the joystick? You don’t need the dive bomb at all. Just aim at the pad. Use the joystick like you always do! No need to dive bomb to get the angle right. Just use the joystick. Up to go down, down to go up, just like all flying mechanics. Awesome video. Still my fave game reactor.

0:52:56 - You know, Batman telling that SWAT guy to follow the law to the letter is pretty contradicting. He wants the police to follow and uphold the law, but he also wants them to stay out of his way so that he can keep doing what he does. Which definitely does not always coincide with the law.

53:29 Forgot to give you this crucial advice, Miranda. The disruptor device does NOT work through walls or any other obstructions, including fences and guardrails.

The church where Black Mask is, it’s the same one back in Arkham City, next to the courthouse and Ace Chemicals, but to be honest I had no idea anyone had that bug because I was always able to enter the church no problem

The fact we sat through all those side missions, you finally get jiggy with doing the main missions & cut it off when Alfred needs saving is bananas !!! lol Miranda style all the way ! lol

Digging the gargoyle take downs you can do that more if you use your baterrang to cut them down once knocked out and then use the same gargoyle again

If your looking for a bit of a Weirder/Halloween centred comic give Batman Gotham After Midnight a read. It's pretty good and the art by Kelly Jones is a bit crazy 👍

Firefly is such underrated Batman villain he's awesome in this game and I hate that the Batgirl movie got cancelled and will never release to the public because WB are so tax write off happy 😒🤦, i would have loved to have seen what Brendan Fraser would have been like as Firefly 🔥🔥🔥

I jnow you finished the game already, but the disrupter shoots a projectile. So if something is in the way, it won't work. Sometimes the collision boxes in this game can be a bit bugged, so it sometimes seems like it should work, but doesn't.

1. I like your sweater. Looks nice. 2. Sometimes your problem with the disrupter is because you’re using it while looking through like a railing or something. If anything is impeding your shot it won’t work. Detective vision kinda hinders you this way. Just letting you know for future playthroughs! You do seem to have a lot more bugs on steam than I do. I’m wondering if you have the latest update for it?

You can take out the guys with packs that interfere with your radar, and the weapon crates with your disrupter. And the disrupter shoots something that are hitting objects before the people you're aiming at. Loving this whole series you're doing.

18:42 Just a heads up, completing that mission unlocked the special combo move that lets you destroy weapons during a fight. (It's similar to the normal throws but uses a different pair of buttons.)

This is about what I expected - two videos to finish Origins, and one or two to complete Cold, Cold Heart. Have fun with Knight! I suspect you've begun that while we watch the Origins videos. And remember... "I am vengeance. I am the night. I am Batman!" If you know, you know.

Given how much you're enjoying the Batman comics and games I definitely recommend checking out some of the animated DC Batman movies. The animated versions of First Year, Dark Knight Returns, Hush, The Long Halloween, Under the Red Hood, and Gotham by Gaslight all come to mind as being fun films. 🙂 (Killing Joke and Batman and Harley Quinn were basically ok but I don't think they're as good as the others I mentioned. 🤷‍♂) I also highly recommend the Harley Quinn TV series, it's pretty hilarious, especially if you know a bunch of the DC characters to get the inside jokes. 😄

This game has such amazing boss battles! We also got arguably the best adaptation of Bane ever! I don’t care if it’s considered the “weakest” of the series - it’s still a 10/10 experience for me!

I know you've probably finished the game by now... but if you stop using detective mode, you'd know why the disruptor hasn't been working.

This is so weird. Like, glitches and bugs she's encountering - I haven't encountered 95% of them. Not sure why...

loved your reactions and witty jokes. i know i am quite late to the party but here are some tips from a long time batman arkham fan. when it comes to combat try to disorient your enemies with smoke pellets or concussion grenades which will prevent the armed goons from engaging you for a little bit giving you more time to close the distance between those enemies and batman. but tread carefully when goons are disoriented as they wil start swinging wildly and may hit batman and may prompt you to counter their attacks when they are out of your 'counter range'. another thing about combat is the pattern you engage the enemies in. say there are five enemies in a group you must try to engage them in a specific order, say you strike goon 1 and he gets floored (which happens when Batman reaches a combo of x3 which is when freeflow actually begins [freeflow is the feature which allows batman to target enemies several feet away from in, which is not possible in the first three strikes]) and hit goon 2 and goon 3,4 and then 5. by the time you hit goon 5, goon 1 would be almost up thats when you strike him again and then strike the next oponent getting up which will be goon 2 and so on up to goon 5 and then you go after goon 1 and repeat the process until you hear a loud sound which signifies that the goon is out for the count, and if you follow the exact pattern you struck your enemies you can knock an opponent to the ground with every single strike preventing them the chance to even stand up. and as for targeting enemies properly it all boils down to camera movement. when you want to strike an opponent behind you should either use the left stick to point towards the enemy's direction or use the right stick to move the camera in a way which will have the enemy you want to engage right in front of batman which will make the next strike go straight from batman without regard to any direction if you are not touching the left stick. i hope this helps the next time you play any of the arkham games. i didnt intend to make this reply this huge. thanks for playing. it was a real treat watching a fellow batman fan play these. cheers, mirandalorian.

The Distruptor fires an electric charge at an opponent's gun if there's something blocking the path... well you saw what happens 53:30. You must have a clear path to the guy's gun, nothing must be obstructing the path.

Hush is trash. Stay away from it. If you want to see more of the love story between Batman and Joker, look for The Dark Knight Returns and Death in the Family.

57:07 I hate this game's Gordon. Most versions of him realise the GCPD's corruption early on. This one's oblivious to it with how he naively said they worked within the law and had earned Gotham's respect as well as thinking Branden who took bribes from Black Mask would actually do his job. And he's apparently so stubborn he'd rather let people die on the bridge than listen to Batman.

Also, you don’t have to divebomb to angle your glide, you can just use the joysticks.

I got to say I hope you continued playing right away because quitting out of the game at the point this episode ends really breaks the story flow of the final Bane segment.

19:20 that IS weird, to me there is no other point to collecting stuff in games THAN seeing what the reward is, or seeing the percentage at 100.

Miranda you only have 2 charges on the disruptor. I takes a WHILE to recharge

*Not a bug or glitch.* The disrupter doesn't always work because the charge doesn't hit the target sometimes. Objects can get in the way of it.

This playthrough made me think of yellow paint. Like, a lot.

Your probably done with the game by now but in case you did not realize it doing the bird side mission gave you the disarm and destroy ability.

The realization by Bruce that he could not save Gotham on his own is such a good piece of storytelling. While this is my favorite game of the series, it is still a bit unsettling (I guiess lol) to hear/see Bruce as angry as he is not that he is ever chill or happy but he was so mission oriented he was kind of a jerk! Oh and may I suggest you check out the story Knightfall if you have not already it explains the entire Bane/Batman story :)

Ya know, it really takes away from some of the drama and fear about whether or not Alfred is gonna be okay, when this game takes place approximately 8 years before Asylum, and approximately 9-10 years before Arkham City. Because Alfred is in Asylum and City, meaning obviously he survived bane's beating here.

Hey Miranda! Love to see you growing on your journey with the Batman comics. However I would also recommend checking out the other characters of DC comics and just other great DC comics in general when you can. Few recommendations: All-Star Superman, Watchmen, Kingdom Come, Mister Miracle, Crisis on Infinite Earths and Final Crisis.

Just a heads up Miranda. In Arkham Knight the Freeze Grenade makes a return but its entirely missable in a playthrough. It's sitting on a bench in the holding cell room of Panessa movie studios

Fun and kinda sad fact: they were gonna have Firefly as the main villain in a Batgirl movie with Brendan Fraser playing him, but the entire project was shelved after it was finished

Seeing you explore the Batman franchise from the games to the comics has been a blast to watch. Which is why I want to ask, have you considered doing a reaction to the Batman: The Animated Series? It's a very influential show that changed so much of the Batman lore. From things like Harley Quinn existing, the modern backstory of Mr. Freeze, etc it all came from BTAS. So I just wanted to throw that out there, because I'd love to see you react to it and see you dive deeper into the Batman rabbit hole.

You would not believe your eye, if the villain Firefly, lit up the bridge as you fell asleep. Cause he'd fly up through the air, and shoot fire everywhere, you'd think me rude but I'd give him quite the scare.

Again the beautiful thing they did with Bane in the game is show just how cunning he is he isn’t just brute muscle he is very intelligent being able to deduce who Batman is. Joker doesn’t care who Batman is because he finds him fascinating fighting Batman is fun for Joker. But Bane is a conquerer he wants to beat Batman either physically or mentally so long as he defeats him. Firefly I never took seriously as a villain until this game never thought an arsonist could be dangerous.

Firefly is a fun boss fight and cinematically beautiful, everything I'd expect from the character. Great playthrough and enjoy batman hush

The Firefly boss fight is my favorite in this entire game, it is so much fun. I believe it's the best boss fight of all the Arkham games in my honest opinion. 😁

Love your Batman reactions. Keep 'em up. Can't wait to see your first reaction to Arkham Knight. Still an Arkham game but so different, in a GOOD way. You should really start watching the Batman animated movies after reading the comics if you have the free time. Maybe do some comparisons between the comic and the movies? There is A Long Halloween movie, one of my favorites. Since you've been playing Arkham Origins and have read Year One, there is a Year One movie, and if you're going to be potentially reading Hush, there is one for that too. Plus so many more. Not to mention the GOAT of ALL animation, The Batman Animated Series. The only other animated series that may touch this is Avatar: The Last Airbender. The two greatest cartoons ever. The DC Animated universe is, in my personal opinion, much bigger, better, and deeper than any other comic universe. Animated or live-action, the DC animated universe is the way ALL comic book universes should be done. Just have to give a shout-out to the GOOD Batman, live-action movies too. Batman (89), Batman Returns (92), The Christopher Nolan Trilogy: Batman Begins (05), Dark Knight (08), Dark Knight Rises (12), The Joker (19), and the newest, The Batman (22) No matter what, looking forward to seeing more of your Batman journey.👍👍
