Firefly: The Game - 10th Anniversary Collector's Edition: Unboxing 

Very nice game and a very thorough unboxing video, thank you! I am a big fan of the Firefly series and I'd really like to have this game in my humble collection... but the price is eyewatering for the standards where I live (easily half the monthly salary) and I don't it will remain available by the time I could save up enough to actually get it. I really like that the Firefly community is still strong after all these years and that content is still being made. Hopefully, one day, I get my hands on one of these 10th Anniversary boxes. Until then, stay shiny! ;)

I found the bases don’t fit my reaver and alliance ships either. I found that the holes in the ships are not deep enough or too wide. To fix, I took a sheet of 150 grit sand paper and sanded down the tip of four bases till the fit snuggle into those ships. I then marked the bottom of the bases but you can see easily tell they have been sanded down.

Haven't fully watched the video fully yet, but I'll answer questions as they come up It plays up to 10. Base game is everything not in the red sections, basically. Going by sectors, it is from Murphy/Georgia over to Red Sun. That mat is not 6 foot. Might take up a six foot table, but it is the Vera mat (the upgrade mat) that is six foot. And it is a beast of a mat. Six foot by four foot. The brown cloth bag is a dice bag. It is not really useful unless you want to do random ship selection since each die corresponds to a ship. The series information on the ship boards are mostly just fluff, but they do list a price which could be useful for some games if you are needing to buy your ship with your starting funds. On a balance, this game isn't balanced, but it isn't meant to be. Sometimes a game without balance is fun if the gameplay is good enough. And this is a game focused more on the moment to moment gameplay over some super competitive gameplay where every little balance adjustment is critical for getting everything right. This is the game you break out to just have a good time with friends going around the 'verse. There has been a lot of people mentioning the Reaver ships specifically have issues with the flight stands. Poster tack/blue tack has been suggested by some as a way to get it to hold well for gameplay in a non-permanent manner. For a more permanent hold, superglue works, but you'll need a new way to store the ships. I have seen online that someone has made a 3-d printable box to hold the ships on the flight stands that fits perfectly in the sleeve the game comes with. Personally, I think I may get a little thing of the poster tack at some point as I don't know I want to go with a permanent solution yet. On you breaking a ship... that is an issue with the resin minis. Not just these, but any resin mini. Resin is high detail, but to get that detail, they are very brittle compared to regular plastics. You can try contacting GF9 at customerservice@gf9.com they may be able to help you. Just know this is a very busy time for them and that there are a lot of people in line, so it may take a bit. Also, the Alliance ship is the most common one I saw with breakage in people's messages on Gamefound. No wooden dino. The little metal one is the special first player marker. I think there may have been a wooden one in one of the third party storage solutions for people that were getting the game as they went. On the acrylic tokens, I felt the same way when I opened mine up. These are the same ones they have apparently been selling for the game for most of a decade and I think our less than enthusiastic feelings around it comes from how far acrylic tokens have come in the last decade. There are some amazing upgrades available now and these just don't seem like that much of an improvement over cardboard in comparison. Very nice unboxing video.
