Randy I live in a very similar place in another part of Oklahoma. I moved here from California 18 years ago. I sold my business there and was able to take a very early retirement. It has become apparent to me some people in this area have difficulty accepting people and things outside of their “world view .” I use to ride a bike for exercise, but after being deliberately forced off the road twice and actually shot at by a passing car. I stop riding my bike. I own 5 cars and a pickup. One of those cars is a small convertible sports car. People out here react differently to that car. They tailgate me, they’ll cut in front of me, they give me the finger, and try to crowd me off the road. It’s not because of the way I’m driving because these things don’t happen in my other vehicles. I’ve got neighbors out here that love that little car and want to ride in it whenever they can. Ninety nine percent of the people out here are great, there just seem to be about one percent, or so that can’t help being assholes.
I salute you sir. You have more restraint than I do. Had it been me this fire chief would have been explaining his behavior to a judge. You don't get to play gatekeeper on a public road and you don't have a legal right to throw rocks at passing vehicles.

My elderly neighbor went off on me (for political reasons) when he found out I did not vote for the person he and his wife supported. YIKES, I thought he and his wife were going to have a heart attack. Retired school teachers who were well respected made complete fools of themselves and many heard the argument. My response to him was never to talk to me again. I had helped him with his yard numerous times even though I knew who he supported and did not care. Neither tried apologizing and told other neighbors I was what is wrong with America. The funny thing is the neighbors agree politically with me. They just assumed we all thought alike.
There's no way he can be one of the best guys in the community. He's a fire chief and on the town Board. He should be off of both of those and out of a job for his actions.
I am 65 and one thing I have learned living in over 5 cities is there is always at least one crazy neighbor, and the one thing you said that stood out to me is Volunteer fire Department.
That may not work if there is rampant nepotism going on between the fire department and the Mayors office. It may or may not extend to the police department -- if it does the police won't take any action unless ordered by the county? District Attorney.
Pressing charges would only make it worse. Randy not pressing charges was the right thing to do at first. There may be a time he needs to but for now it isnt.
I came to this channel for the Maserati, stayed for the high mileage Tesla, and now I’m def staying for Randy as a person. Randy continues to impress me with his respectfulness and integrity. He’s a class act.
Hey Randy I respect how adult you are about this whole situation and yes I live 4000 miles away or whatever it is but here in the small town I live in in England it's pretty much the same kinda thing with assholes racing up the street and people freaking out over it and I had a Vauxhall (GM) Astra with a 3inch straight through stainless exhaust on it and it was effing loud (I bought it that way) I had people hurling abuse at me and blaming me for all sorts of crap that I hadn't done (I put a silencer on it after a weeks ownership) so I know how frustrating it is when people assume , I have watched you for years and love the channel . all the best Paul .

I had a fireman throw his fire helmet thru the windshield of my semi. He accused me of speeding but I had dash cam to proove that I wasn’t. He got 2 years probation and paid out several thousand dollars
My two cents worth, these small "towns" are usually influenced by a small few people, they are your neighbors whether you like it or not. I would just go talk to the guy and clear the air!! These guys can make your life miserable, they can change anything to get you to leave!! Personally, keep the cars out front to as minumal as possible, keep them as clean as you can, so they are NOT an "eyesore" for any town person can complain about it. Keep your "work" hours to not go late into the night and should be the same for any test drives, I can only imagine how quiet it is at night and ANY car going up and down the road could piss someone off. He should NOT have thrown anything at you...for sure!!! Just watch what you do and say, these town people have more pwer than you think!!! Keep up the great content...alwys enjoy it!!!

Good job being a gentleman and taking the noble path. Not instantly as satisfying, but probably better in the long run. On the one hand, him being a firefighter and councilman may give him a little more "pull" in town. On the other hand, the risk of losing either of his positions may make him more vulnerable. If you don't already have, you might consider a motion activated camera or two on your property, in case anyone wants some trouble. I'd hate to see any of your everchanging interesting fleet get vandalized in any way. Keep up the fun and interesting videos. Your variety of vehicles is one of your strengths, don't give that up. Also, you've got a really good friend in Mike, always take care of him, we enjoy your interactions.
I grew up in byars and still have property there in johnsonville. Love my town. I live in okc now but travel down to mow and stuff. He really is a good man. Not making an excuse for what he did, just speaking about the man I grew up to know. Love the videos.

You MUST report it so he doesn’t do that to others - your community would expect and respect you for it. You have proof and it is a FELONY in Oklahoma and for good reason. Even if you were speeding and/or making noise there is no justification to throw objects and endanger someone’s life. He also has no business to be in a position of authority., i.e voluntary fire chief.

Randy you should ask the mayor to see if they can close the main road down for a weekend and use it for a drag strip. Invite over some top fuel legends like John Force....LOL! Maybe use some of the farm land for some vendors to come in and setup some fair rides for kids and a car show, it be a good ole time!

I think he probably knows he acted a fool, but isn't able to swallow his ride. While it would be nice if he came and talked to you, him leaving you alone is the next best thing.

You know Randy, i get you. He's not going to apologize and neither are you but here me out. I think the thing to do to make you the bigger man would be to extend your hand and say let's put this behind us. As much as that may get your goat it may soften his hardened heart to offer that apology. Talk things over as men. What he did was totally unacceptable because had he did it to the wrong person, he’d probably be hospitalized or dead by now and there was absolutely zero excuses for his actions so for him to throw rocks, he should be locked up because actions have consequences

Be careful how you deal with the Fireman and the Mayor, they may retaliate concerning the amount of vehicles on your property. Check your local city/town codes for ordinances about parked vehicles. I'm just looking out for you. The best course of action is to talk to the fireman in person and see if he's willing to have a civil conversation with you.
I’ve explained this about 1000 times I am a commercial car lot you cannot penalize me for vehicles parked in front of my commercial business I’ve been approved by the city and the county and the state

I would look into seeing if the permissions they gave you are written down in a letter or contract unless OK Law upholds a verbal contract between you and the local/state governments. The fireman video actually made over 110k views Indirectly Randy won. Some of the previous vids and following were 30-60k ish. That fireman may have been a fool but he made Randy some views and perhaps a little money. Randy won whether the fireman knows it or not. Randy is a boss.
