EF was a cutting edge fighter jet for 1980-2000 time frame. But currently it can't operate by itself in a heavily defended airspace that is riddled with advanced SAM systems and integrated air defense. So in any near peer conflict scenario any Air Force that has exclusively 4th generation fighter jets, no matter how advanced and upgraded, won't be able to operate in an enemy air space without a heavy support from a 5th gen platform. Sure, there are stand off weapons that these jets can fire outside off the enemy's SAM system's range, but you can't run a prolonged air campaign against a well armed enemy with Storm shadows, JASSMs, and the rest of the multi million $ cruise missiles. Sooner or later you're gonna have to strike hundreds, if not thousands, of targets with stand in weapons like JDAMs or laser guided munition. And for that you're gonna need an F-35, Raptor or any other platform that comes next. Germany and France are, to best of my knowledge, the only major world powers that have no intention of getting any stealth fighter jets in the near or mid term. They have this pipe dream aircraft that they plan to develop together, but seeing how much time it took for the current 5th gen fighters to develop, from Raptor and F-35 to SU-57 to J-20 (which took much less time since the Chinese stole TB of data from Lockheed Martin about the F-35). I kind of understand the French. They've always tried to be self sufficient after the end of WW2 and developed their own fighter jets. But I'm surprised that Germany officially never showed interest in buying the F-35 although a lot of the smaller countries around her are getting one (Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Poland, etc.....)
⛺⛲☺️Friends, but Missiles must Hit the Windows of Fortifications and explode inside a building guided by sensor.😚 We need the Holidays in that Defense Enterprise!!!
The us air jets fighter flying deep in blue skies supper air strength of the mighty of the us air force superior is so powerful will rule the skies,us jets fighter seft defence against any enemy threat aggressive will b destroy down to the ground.set for example let hopefully no ww3break out.
@Skil Set jesus, I don't doubt that but that comment from Boeun like a three-year-old is far from reality... that air superiority will come at large cost since PLAAF and the Ruskis won't hand it over on a silver plate
Jakob Moller You're absolutely right. Russians are terrified of US Air force structure in 2025-2030 time frame witch will consist of almost exclusively 5 generation fighter jets while their air force will have couple of hundred 5 gen jets while 80% of it will be upgraded 1980-ties design. That is why they try to push this propaganda shit that anything American is useless and rubish. And as far as the cost of F-35 is concerned, yes they are pricey, they do cost much more then expected but at the end it's only a matter if you can afford something or not, and US military can afford almost 3000 of these jets.
vegass04 here you are admitting the US is out for global domination by violent means , but you're an utter nutcase if you don't admit the US is depending heavily on loans
superwout I am not an American so therefore have no benefits from their global domination. All that I enjoy is the defense umbrella that American allies get from being their allies..
Jakob Moller your tech is not good at all , the Japanese , Germans and French surpass you in many fields and I'm Belgian , not Russian . And no not all nations are warmongering invaders
