@NISLT After seeing many guys asking this question...I worked only at weekends, since I have to focus on the very requesting university-stuff from monday to friday. I started around one year ago (!), but lost motivation several times during that period. Moreover there werde some other projects I worked on. It was like "Nothing to do atm...uhhm...let's open the firesenz project for a sec" :)

@SinTexCA the terror at a long threw a grenade, the explosion sprites have been disabled via Oldschoolhack, a tool for moviemakers to edit gamefiles for better visuals. the dead body, flying around is the one of the terror he killed seconds earlier...but dude, if you don't believe me, I sent you the demo via PM. @maedapc 3Ds Max was only used one time...the smooth right before the frag through the vent...there is a hole in the ground, which was created with the 3D application. All models and firstperson dying scenes were done in Gmod. There are several camera plugins for it, allowing you to do awesome camera angles. The NPC firstperson camera tool is just one example out of many.

@masterchief156111 Matchmoving allows you to create tracked 3D objects in your scene. You can use boujou, a 3D motion tracking software for that. But in this case I basically sychronized the camera data between the game engine and editing software (between Counter-Strike and After Effects in this case). There is a tool, which allows you to do so, called HLAE.

@cAwE1214 no, Never asked me for a song some time ago and I had the idea of using HECQ sound design for our next projects. So in order to not use the same track, we settled on him using the OFFF 2009 title sequence and me editing with the OFFF 2007 soundtrack.

@zack1 I admit that this video is far away of being a fragshow. I can understand that it doesn't satisfy you, if you intent to see more of the actual gameplay. However, there are still good editors who focus on showcasing the frags. I can recommend the latest movie by DanyBaron to you :)

How can I find this music?! I found the video for it but no high quality download. And I can't find it with any HECQ related searches :P This is my favourite and in my opinion, best editing gaming movie of all time.

@SuperCidalFilms you need to contact HECQ and ask for this track...or use a youtube music converter to extract the soundfile from the video (pretty good quality in fact)

these are 3 sounds, one headshot sound, one wood impact sound and one metal impact sound...everything from css. You can extract those sounds using gcfscape

@thischannelowns you are not right. When a hit is critical (headshot), it makes more damage than a normal hit. So the lethal hit can also be a critical hit.

@BriannMedia yes obviously, but for example @ 2:07 dont u think it needs some more colours?? it almost looks like theres no contrast or colors on :o

@Brainbot257 no it's the standard skin. I just recorded it seperately (with the greenmap package) to scale it up and apply a blur on it.

the first person shots [ etc 1:26 ] was a bit laggy, and i didn't like the velocity that much. But this is one of the best fragmovies i have ever seen, hands down. Good job!

wow, long time since there was such a fucking creative thing. the huds, the tracking, the cams, the smooths, the effects, the whole fucking movie, was just epic man!

so much effects. i don't like these "super edit" movies except for one or other, this is one of them. the texts are so perfectly synced that it's awesome. nice job

@TomahawxX So if I were to create a 3d text with cinema 4d.Then all I need to do is synchronise it to my video that I recorded to make the effects like yours?

This stuff is amazing, especially the 3Ds. But it got kinda annoying with all the text, but sometimes it disappeared too quickly so I couldn't read it.

hecq is a professional sound composer, check out his work vimeo. he made some insane stuff. especially his part on "Resonance" was incredible.
