Although it is supposed to be an April Fools video, the arguments here presented by Sunnyfall are actually very valid and convincing. I've always wondered how Firestar died, and I believed that he was hit by the “falling” tree, since it relatively makes more sense, until Sunnyfall points out that the tree was already “fallen”. I think I can now start to tell myself that Firestar didn't die. Because I miss him. I miss him terribly. No matter how people think of him, he was a great leader with so many virtues, who persevered through all hardships and dire situations, and led his Clan until his very last breath. Just imagine, with all the chaos that is going on in ThunderClan right now, that familiar, flame-coloured pelt appears at the entrance, once more. The same reassuring voice echoes in the camp, once more: “I am Firestar. I have come back.”

Firestar's true cause of death was "because we said so."

Imagine in a new book firestar comes back (Insert main cats name) eyes widened, an orange tabby had appeared in their camp. "Firestar! Y-you're alive...?" Squirrelstar mewed in a rather harsh voice. The clan gathered around. "Yes, I have lied to you." Firestar announced sorrowful. "But why... YOU DIED IN THE LAST HOPE MOUSEBRAIN." When I read when he died I thought the tree fell on him and the second time I thought he also got struck by lightning as well.

But having Firestar back isnt a good thing, at least, not now. He is like a god to Thunderclan, in a exaggerated way; Not to mention that it would just put Firestar back into the plot, again. Just let the dude die in peace, he already saved his clan and there is no need to save it again. Yes, he's the first protagonist, yes, without him there wouldnt be your beloved series, yes, but this doesnt mean he needs to be a kittygod. And this means, for me, that the books should have ended in OOTS, since now they're trying to find water in desert: Nothing to be explored anymore, and it it does have something that you can explore into, the Erins would find a way to do it dirty, knowing how the writing team is today. 🟥Clarification🟥 After prophecy ‘fire alone will save our clan’ there was prophecy, after ‘fire saves the clan’ fire will burn out! So when fire star “saved the clan” his prophecy was finished and Star clan had to take his last life away!

As you all know, Firestar represents fire, so she made lightning strike the tree next to him, causing it to burst into flames but then soon after rain came to quench the fire, he was dead. And you know a way how fire dies. It gets quenched by water. And remember Starclans prophecy, "Water quenches fire".

I always assumed Firestar either died of smoke inhalation from the burning trees; his combined exhaustion, shortness of breath from his adrenaline-rushed duel with Tigerstar, and his bone-weary grief over everyone that had died that day could very well have weakened him to the point where the smoke was too much and he suffocated, or his heart simply... gave out, and stopped. My preferred headcanon, though, is that Firestar never "died," but had an event similar to the departure of the prophet Elijah in the Bible. The flames obscured him as he was called home to StarClan, and having completed all four of his destinies, was told by StarClan to finally rest. I will note here the bit in the prologue of Bramblestar's Storm where Firestar says "I shouldn't have had to leave my Clan," almost bitterly, as if he hadn't had any choice, or thought that StarClan killing him had been unfair to his Clan. I also seem to remember that whoever he's talking to(Bluestar? I can't remember), reassuring him that it was best for him to be in StarClan, because Bramblestar needed to take up the mantle at such a momentous moment to ensure that the Clans could change; new leadership is a powerful force to drive it. So yeah I think Firestar was basically honored with an ascension, and he wasn't killed. Tigerstar had no victory over him, and was not the cause of his death. Firestar didn't lose, he just left when his only remaining opponent had been removed from the field.

The Erin killed off firestar to continue the story as quickly as they can. Firestars death sucks and they could've actually made his death due to blood loss or a heart attack that was clearly quoted in the books. For example they couldve made tigerstar actually slash firestars throat. Honestly the only option we have for his death was a heart attacks,a deadly seizure,a stroke or an aneurysm ( from the amount of stress he has been trough fighting tigerstar.) The most likely options are the seizure or the heart attack.

Starclan regicide for dramatic effect. Starclan killed him for exactly the reason stated. If they let him live he'd die of something unbefitting, so they had to take his last life prematurely.

Knowing warrior cats? He probably killed himself or got murdered by some person still loyal to the dark forest THEORY TIME So, why would he kill himself? So, him being fire star, he’d have a pretty good life. Leader of thunder clan! But, as a living cat, he could be harmed. But as a star clan cat, nothing could hurt him! He’d be invincible, and he’d literally live forever, with everyone telling legends of him. With a place in star clan, he could easily manipulate the new leader to doing whatever he’d wish for the clan, while staying safe. All he’d have to say is he’s guiding this dude, and he’d be fine. He could do this till the end of the clans! And that would be awhile lol. Why would he be murdered? And I mean by a living cat. Plenty of the cats must have remained loyal to the dark forest, but there were also cats who already hated fire star. While he was distracted at the end of the battle, and with all that smoke, someone could easily slip by and kill him without anyone seeing what happened. A lot of cats didn’t like him fir him being to willing to help out everyone, so there’d be no reason someone wouldn't!

I always though the lightning indirectly struck him and caused him to have a heart attack, all the fire only a symbol of his fulfilled destiny, as he was needed no more, star clan took him and welcomed him home.
