I'm a veteran and I can say there's many veterans that think all that is required of them is to wear a unit/campaign hat. It's pathetic but fixable by dropping the entitlement attitude. We have the worse law enforcement in our country. Most couldn’t find jobs, so they pick police work because it requires no education. Also, a lot of police in the USA are ex Military members that have PTSD from serving in shitty parts of the world, and the only thing they can think of, and actually they can’t wait, and that’s use their guns. They see the American people as combative citizens, and god forbid you are not white looking. If you are black then the chances of a cop beating or shooting you go up 10x’s.

I've spent a lifetime around journalism and photography, (both parents professional photographers, I'm a retired journalist and professional photographer, attended university with an award-winning journalism school, etc.) and I've seen thousands of cameras (both still cameras and action (video) cameras being both extremely close to as well as very far from people. I can say with extreme confidence that this does not qualify as 'shoving cameras in strangers faces'.

Not only because he’s allowed to and it makes for good content, but because people will call the police and lie about what happened. So he’s recording, not only for his RU-vid channel and his own personal use, but also for his own protection. Legally and physically. People are less likely to attack you when they’re being recorded.

Police typically don't like being recorded because then there would be evidence. They can write the report anyway they want but the video would show its a lie. Lots of corruption in that small town. I know people there.

this has turned into way more than a first ammendment audit channel - i love that you guys are checking out all these small towns and learning about different places that exist. I think it would be neat if you intentionally seek out cool or obscure stores and random drop them into your travels - if you happen to get a good response from them you can then even highlight them so more people know about them. There are some neat stores out there that you would never know exist unless you stumbled across them

I lived in Wisconsin for 10 years. Actually 30 minutes from Sheboygan. It was 10 years too many. Some very nice people, but a LOT of rude, miserable, nosy, bizarre drunks and drug addicts like the obese veteran. Something in the water up there.

It would have been one thing to let other business owners know that two people are freely taking video, as it's there right to do so, however, he was allegedly telling other business owners that Jason and Ben were trying to get a rise out of people as well, when that's absolutely not what happened. We'll have to wait for the bodycam footage for the full story, but if the bodycam footage proves the last business owners right, then that's pretty out of line for an officer to do, seeing as they're supposed to de-escalate situations, not start or make them worse.

To be fair, my armchair diagnosis of the vet was that he has a dementia or mental illness that is untreated or inadequately treated. He has been allowed to misbehave in this way for so long that it is his normal. For commenters saying he should have been treated differently: he chose the narrative and pursued it relentlessly. He desperately needed a reality check.

To meet the definition of harm, the physical contact does not need to cause an injury or leave a mark. The unwanted contact only needs to be considered offensive by a "reasonable" person.
I've been watching these videos for quite some time now, and my honest opinion is I can't get enough! It's truly such a joy to be able to watch the stark difference between people who love life and are happy, and people who are miserable and out to look for trouble.. As a veteran, I would like to remind non-veterans that most of us are not particularly remarkable in any way or worthy of being exalted for serving. And many are below average in desirable qualities like intelligence, temperance, and open-mindedness. That’s how I feel, at least.
