With how hard current AAA(A) titles tend to flop, I'm surprised that companies aren't going for simple-yet-proven franchises. I guess the whole "shareholders need bigger profits" is the culprit... oh well, they're the ones who are imposing a double or nothing style on their investments.

Yep. Tib sun atmosphere is like it on another planet, not on the earth.

Most (almost all) other maps has that kind of atmosphere though. This map is likely one of the few maps that has clearer skies for visual variety.

There are other maps that have that exact feel. check out some of the other TA dev talk videos

Dont forget your Breifings on Blue, Yellow, and Red zones. Not every place had tiberium influenced weather. Though being in a RedZone meant the weather was often Cataclysmically powerful compared to normal... Category 6+ hurricanes anyone?

Well, one (two?)of our former devs are in EA now and I'm pretty sure before then, they've spoken to people in EA. We're in the legal clearance as far as we're concerned

Tiberum was not that good, and EA added units from Battlefield 2142, and they want to make it look like Halo.

@@bigsmile5476 That I did not know. I only remember seeing articles about it when I was in high school and getting hyped, and then it got cancelled lol

​@@gobokinje9183Yes, Tiberum is a carbon copy of Battlefield 2142. The only thing from Command and Conquer 3 Tw is the infantry unit, and the rest, like the vehicle, the protagonist's armor suit looks exactly like Battlefield 2142, and I think mostly focus on GDI vs. Scrin, not nod like Halo; it's craap with the Command and Conquer label.

The only remake out now is Renegade X, which can be downloaded off of the Totem Arts website. Firestorm, which is what you are viewing here, has not released yet.

Looks like it's "Renegade X", an f2p fanmade multiplayer, but with a facelift.

Dude it is incredibly different. Like, dude.

Yeah, they final realized the Renegade formula failed and moved on to using formulas that are more proven so it's more like Battlefield or Planetside 2. And the conflict between deciding to include base buildings or not is what's straining the current engine to its limits.

Renegade X is a fan game that builds off of C&C Renegade's excellent multiplayer

It's a from scratch game called Firestorm based in the C&C universe
