Very appriciated from polands side to send the trucks, despite swedish polititians talked shit about poland several times. Makes me ashamed to live in this country.
It's not your fault. Poles know very well that 1 side are politicians which make dicisions (divide et impera rule) and often quite different side are ordinary ppl!
to fakt , przez ostatnich kilkanaście lat dostali dużo nowego sprzętu i naprawdę w tym międzynarodowym towarzystwie w Szwecji, wyglądali często lepiej niż Ci z zachodnich, bogatszych krajów. A co do ich odwagi i wyszkolenia, to oczywiście dodatkowy powód do dumy.

It's not! Every help counts and comes straight from the heart! Everyone gives as much as he can - no judge in this subject. The thing is people can unite when it's needed! And even 5 small tracks from another country gives all in all 100 additional hands giving help. Despite of that days tragedy - it's beautiful and make me feel proud of the people :)
It's also how many apparatus are requested from a certain country. A country might be able to easily send more than that, but they can't just send more than requested
Main reason why finland didnt send as many units as poland is that we have lot less apparatus than poland and if we would have sent more units we wouldnt have enough units to cover all calls in finland

hello, I would like to point out the following: " A Polish politician actually said on the news, that they're not doing this for the Swedish government, but only to HELP the Swedish PEOPLE." (-Aviation Nut) (THANKS! for your input!) also "the European emergency response center" had NOTHING! to do with this operation!! Polish firefighters was NOT PAID! for this by the Swedish gowernment!!! IN ANY WAY!! exept for fuel, as far as I know, even the the ferry cost to sweden was covered by the shipping company!! (polferry) this action was paied by the POLISH TAXPAYER!!!! also I know NOT ONE person in Poland who has complained about this action/COST! thank you for reading this! money is not all!
There's just something magical about seeing two countries helping each other like this, and then a salute and a thank you. I know it's a small thing and a favor. But after all, we are all human beings, and Poland is giving Sweden a hand. Beautiful. Loved it!

its not a tradition, it was the biggest operation from the European Response Coordination Center from European Union, we are even helping with firefighters and equipment on the ground in bolivia for example

@@jh5kl - Wrong! It was an emergency request from Sweden via ERCC. When this happens JUST well prepared volunteers can respond. Poland wasn’t obligated to do so but we did it as the biggest land responder. We took also most of the cost of this operation. VOLUNTARILY!

Nice array of appliances. I'm assuming it was a bushfire (wildfire). Co-operation like this is great between fire services around the world, we currently have Americans here in Australia fighting major fires and we have sent crews over there in the past. States within Australia always do it and it's great.

I am in New York City, Im looking at a map and trying to determine how the Polish firefighters would have traveled to Sweden. Would they have traveled by ferry, or did they drive through Germany and Denmark ?
