Wow - Best selling board you've ever had? What are some of the other top sellers? I recently got the new Seaside and have to say it is already a favorite. Can definitely see why it would be a best seller. Paddles like a champ so catching lots of waves, turns well in pocket and also carries through any slower/fatter sections. Makes for super fun sessions.
Hey, thank you for your comment. Drop us an email at info@boardshop.co.uk and we can break this down for you and help with getting you the perfect board. Cheers
@Craig Phillips Agree with this. No yellowing after about 6 months, rails are fine and no pressure dents. Probably my favourite surfboard of all time, however when it gets big this thing goes fast, perhaps too fast. Obviously if I was a better surfer this would be easy to control, but when it gets to over head high and punchy, I would switch back to a thruster.
How does it compare to the Hypto krypto? I ride 5’6 hypto with quad set up. The seaside has a bit more volume, if a get a seaside should I go for the 5’4?
Hi , i'm 6'0ft 83 kgs (183 lbs), my skill level is low intermediate and i'm surfing mostly 1-4 ft mushy waves in caribbean. I currently have a chumlee 6'5 47,7L. I'd like to have a more reactiv board, but don't want to burn steps. I'm thinking to take a 6'0 with 44,5L, but don't know if it's the good choice, maybe shorter? What do you think? Thx Bertrand
It looks amazing guys. I’m curious if there’s a weight difference between the boards and if your bringing in the Wool Lite version this year? I’m up for the darker look as I hear the LFT/HELIUM tend to yellow quickly? Your thoughts guys?
Late comment, but I have both boards in the exact same volume and on flat water the ease of paddling is the exact same. However, the seaside tends to get into slower/fatter waves better and performs way better than the evo in onshore choppy conditions. But nothing beats the evo for me when it's clean/glassy and the waves are a little steeper.
I have both. I am 6' 3" 103 kg have a evo 6 ft 44 liters goes good I love it with Machardo quad fins gets a bit lose on over head waves with this fin set up, I find it is a good paddler I feel a small bow wave underneath the front of the board sometimes, I do not find it as as good a paddler as the seaside. I love the seaside went bigger 6' 1" 46 liters, I hated it at first it took me about 6 weeks to get used to it, but when you get used to it holy hell it goes. You have a very small area under your chest where to take off and when you find it you can surf punchy steep shore breaks and can out paddle a lot of people. I absolutely love it unfortunately I pushed it too hard and snapped it clean in half. It was one of the best boards I have ever had.
Thanks. This is a great review. I just bought a blue 5'9" Seaside because of this recommendation. This also made me laugh: "Hello. Me again I'm afraid" haha
Great video ! Im thinking about buying it but I’m not sure about the dimensions. I tried the 5.7 but to much volume... I’m hesitating between the 5.4 or 5.5 ! I’ll be surfing it in the south ouest of France btw. Could you help me please ?! Great videos btw !!👏🏽
