Firewood bundle business firing on all cylinders! At least I thought it was things are starting to change causing issues with the bundle business.

As you know from past comments: I've given my last dollar to someone in need without hesitation multiple timed. However, I will leave a thief daring to steal from me beaten and bloodied. ESPECIALLY if they steal firewood. It is just too much labor intensity to allow someone who has done nothing to produce it have the apathy to just come and take it.

Oh yeah for sure. I’m not really out any money in this deal I got paid. I just feel for the other party involved. Going forward it will not be good as I mentioned in the video. But anyway at the end of the day I don’t think either of us will lose our shirt. Hi Ben! Yes. Very irritating. I’ve thought about soliciting some other convenience stores for firewood but haven’t yet. One of my stipulations is they have to be open 24 hours. If not, they are just asking for people to take them. As our economy continues to be turned upside down, more of this crap will continue. Best of luck! Concrete pad is filling up quickly.

I just had someone take 3 - $5 bundles; and paid $4 total. Don't understand that??!! As far as convenience stores; gonna have to take the same route as the outside Ice coolers & bottled propane - lock 'em up! Another idea is what "Hometown Acres" did; get an IBC tote & make a base with wheels. Store owner can push firewood container inside every night.

Thieves really grind my gears . I love watching porch pirates fails getting a taste of karma. The broken system with Little to no punishment keeps them stealing , in the old days holding thief’s accountable was something to fear.

I know what you mean, people. I had several bundles stolen from my roadside stand last summer. Pissed me off big time but I'm not going to do cameras because most people are honest!

Yeah I had some thefts from my roadside stand last winter. I didn’t put up cameras but I did put up signs saying cameras were being used. Didn’t have any more problems with thefts but it did seem to slow down my regular customers. I’ve taken the signs down and so far no problems.

Hi instead of leaving bundles at store. You could put up sign for orders. Have a pick up day like maybe on saterday at store. That way they wont get stoleing pay store clerk/owner x amount for taken orders for you and use of parking lot. Plus may bring in more buisnnise for store

Protect your investment.. build a display that can be locked ... put your name on it for free advertising at the same time.. my box at a local store got a campground owner to call me now he buys 4000 bags a year...

Thieves are everywhere. Even online I get hit at least once a month in autoparts.. The firewood stacks are looking great..
