This is the sweetest thing.. Definitely has me tearing up. To first of all, put this together and go through that trouble, but then put himself out there in public, not worrying about whether or not he looks like a fool, and then he gets down on his knee and proposes, not caring if people judge him. Such love..
I am proud to say I know both these guys and was happy and thrilled to have been invited to watch this unfold in person...it was beautiful and amazing and I couldn't be happier for them! I am also proud to say that North Bay has definitely come a long way from when I came out 17 years ago!
that one person doesnt believe in true love. That was the sweetest and most courageous thing that could happen. This made me cry. So happy for you both! enjoy your lives together and always be happy!
these dancers are reaaaaaaaaaaaaally adorable. and they have the courage to be who they are. huge congrats to them.hope they cherish and love each other whatever they may face in the future.
Congratulations and Best wishes to the engaged couple! May you have a long, happy life together and please post the wedding too, and may I suggest that it must be as musical and really happy as this proposal/engagement was!
I don't want to be patronizing or pandering, but this video is even more heartwarming knowing that it's a man proposing to another man. Not because I think gay people are "cute" or whatever (I'm no Christy Blatchford; gay people aren't accessories), but because the people around still cheered and celebrated in their love. I'm a North Bay-ite and I'm very proud to say that North Bay often defies the typical "small town" stereotypes. Very positive message for this Christmas.
I don't understand how there are people in this world who can watch this video and be disgusted...to think that this is somehow an abomination. Admittedly, it was a dorky (but cute!) proposal that brought me to tears just like any other proposal video would. Witnessing this kind of display of love is heartwarming and beautiful. I was so touched and yet so heartbroken that there are people in this world continue to condemn love. Congratulations on the engagement!
I am so happy with how the proposal turned out. Thank you to everyone that participated! John just told me that this was the happiest moment of his life!!!!! :D
The Mathew part was hilarious XD And shut up all you homophobes! Nobody is forcing you to watch this. And everybody deserves to be happy and loved. So just shut up and go away. I hope this couple stay together for a long time
It's great to see that there are still some romantic guys out there. Congratulations Nathan. All all the best from your cousin Sarah and your Aunt Liz.
This is simply amazing... spent the past 5 minutes crying like an idiot though (thanks). Love definitely is louder and this video really shows it. Congrats to the what looks like extremely happy couple :)
Normally when I see a public proposal I just think "Now what if the victim wanted to say no?" But y'all almost made me forget to think it's a bad idea 'cuz it's so cute.
I'm glad I live in a small town that's so caring and loving and despite what people might think is very different and accepting of differences. So far everyone I've come out to has been accepting about me being Trans and I was shocked hearing all the stories that small towns make it more likely that you won't be very accepted but. I'm happy to say I was dead wrong. Also. It took me a second to realize it but I know someone in the video. Heyy Matty (Fitzy) hehe :P
Congrats guys! So nice to see this younger generation that seems so unencumbered by the shame and fear that my generation of LGBT folks grew up with. I had a happy little cry. Made my day! All the best for a bright future.
OK: that had me breaking out the Kleenex. What I love even more is that this is getting 254 likes and only 6 dislikes. Welcome to the Twenty-first Century!
