We scored some amazing waves today here in Cornwall. (Porthleven.)
Surf was going off! Overhead barrels and fat wedges everywhere, and the surfers were on form too!
This really is what 5 star waves look like. :)
Here is a bunch of my shots from today.
This edit is too long and scrappy, but I will tighten it up and make a shorter, fully formed edit as soon as I get a chance,
but I wanted to share some of these epic waves with you straight away.
THIS IS NOT A PROPER EDIT! Shots are simply in order that we filmed them.
Music is simply only placeholder audio for now.
But I am pretty sure there is a good edit hiding in here somewhere. (Give me a couple of days to find it.)
If you enjoy this sloppy version, then hopefully you will like the final edit even more. :)

Hats off to the chargers who took on that cold water & long paddle . Clean lines. Nice crowd, I can tell the spot was maxing out. Sketchy sections. I would not want to take the lip in the face, regularfoot going right, that cold water would feel like a punch in the face. Great music too. Sending this to my UK friend, he's landlocked so I know he'll love it. Thanks for posting.

S Cafrune lol that’s Ben skinner who came 3rd in the WSL long-boarding in 2017 I think he’s good enough to ride a short board

@@sic81 Pretty sure thats Ben skinner AKA Skin dog . He is one of the best longboarders in the world and owns that break . He was also better placed for those waves he caught the other guys were too deep .

Had my best most all time big bowling barrel of my life here probably 20 years ago now,I can see that impossible exit in my mind but the bowl gave me so much down the line speed i made it out with a sick amount of spit and a dull thuddy type sound as the pressure released all over my forever stoked back off my head! Great break,you can get cut to shreds if you get washed in though!

Balek Production mostly canon 70-200 2.8mk About a third with the 2x extender. And with tele ex crop. (These are a bit softer, but gets you in close)

Lovely shots man. Can you please explain me how did you edited the fhd 1080fps with playback mixed speed? How did you "reset" the "standard speed" of the clips?

Thanks. Not certain I understand the question. Gh5 slows the footage down for you in camera. (In VFT mode) And to speed up and slow down the shots you can just change the speed of the clip in premiere (or similar program)

Dark Horse thanks. For regular filming there isn’t much difference between gh5 and gh4. Standard 4K 8bit looks very similar, With comparable dynamic range etc. But the 4K vfr is a big bump in slow motion quality. :)

regarding the memory card, the scan disk extreme ones are ok for everything except the 400mbits 10 bit, (which i don't really need, if i need higher quality i use an external recorder anyway)
