@@dougnicholson8325 I feel like the only cringy videos of his are when Roman are in them. I usually don't watch those. The one with the rapper was pretty tough to sit through. Probably the most awkward, cringe worthy video he's made in a really long time.
@@ThrustingPickle That was my hope as well! Push the 50bmg into the watermelon, position the 22lr converter about an inch back from the primer or so, then let'r rip.
yup...something about shooting a cartridge with another cartridge while its duck taped to the outside of the gun just sets off alarm bells...wonder why?
First time watching you, in the beginning I was cool this guy seems knowledgeable. The moment the duct tape came out I started having questions, when he set up a 50 to be set off with a 22 I realized he's a lunatic
One thing I've always wondered is what's wrong with just using a shotgun. There would be no distinctive marks on the projectile(s) from the firearm (especially if you used buckshot).
I know not to put wrong caliber in the wrong gun but it's fun watching yall make the educational videos and watching shell cases shred. Thanks for the videos.
I’m in the infantry army now and allot of it was because of how much your videos captivated my excitement. I’m happy your still charging hard brother wish I could have met you one day
"situation where ammo might be hard to find" Zombie apocalypse! in games it's always hard to find the right ammo.. this would be a god sent in my 7 days to die world xD
@@drumjedi5301 That depends on if you've lost lethality and can only manage to upset your target at best, at close range. For example, here is a 50 bmg being shot point blank from a 12 gauge at two jugs of water, and, it can't penetrate the board behind it. That is almost non lethal velocity from a 50 bmg which actually fills much of the 12 gauge, but you think a 9 mm shot through it is going to do something? Guns work like spitballs and straws, go load up a tiny ball in a big straw dumbass. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JbbTwXj98Pc.html
An interesting test would be to compare the impact and penetration of these rounds on ballistic gel when fired from the actual intended guns vs. using the adaptors
@@Hawk7886unlikely that it will keyhole since most are rifled for a for inches. They fire fine out of pistols with similar amount of rifling. But the long barrels (even on 12ga) do actually have a benefit even if the rifling can't be used. If you take a 9mm pistol and put an empty tube in the end you get a bit more velocity than normal since your energy is still traveling forward for longer as opposed to being lost at the end of the barrel
This intro got a lot of similar praises as your comment is. I have always wondered why this channel's audience like Matt's intros because of the almost constant theme of including gay innuendos. It's not like a typical 2nd amendment folk like anything even hinting at being a gay. If Matt were laughing at gay people, It would be "normal" but he's not. His joking is not degrading in any way. Anyone knows what makes people in this channel's audience so much different from all the other 2A people? Not a one single homophobic slur ever to be seen.
@@erict3728 I do admit that my observation is just anecdotal and as a complete outsider it might not represent the typical 2a demography. I have no ways to verify this myself, so that's why I asked. Have meant to do this many times on this channel, but only now got to it.
@@anteshell the news would have you believe that all 2a people are white conservative straight chrstian males that vote republican. this is not true. there's no color, religion, sexual orientation, or political requirement to loving your 2a rights. as a black man in a red state, ive found nothing but nice helpful people at the gun range and gun stores i visit. most of us love the hobby more than the politics for sure, and sexual orientation is probably the absolute least of my worries about someone who wants to enjoy their 2a rights.
It's pretty interesting that you're getting fireballs, when you think about it you've kind of got a 28" flash hider on there! Not that it's designed as one of course, but I'd have thought that the fireball would have burned out by the time it reached the end of the shotgun barrel. Wonder how precisely these are machined too; if the little snubby barrel in the insert isn't quite lined up with the bore axis of the main gun, then your point of aim would change depending on what angle the circular insert is placed into the circular chamber at, so even after zeroing your sights for the other calibre it might be hard getting _any_ kind of accuracy out of it. Also, that very last scene with jamming an unfired .50 BMG into a watermelon, that really makes me want to know what would happen if you set it off. Not sure how one could jury-rig something to hit it with a firing pin, but it should be fun to watch.
@@bami2 Shh, don't give them ideas! Seriously though I think not, I'm pretty sure that muzzle devices like silencers or brakes count as part of barrel length if they are permanently attached rather than threaded on. This would be the same, I think.
When you're having issues finding where the bullets go when you fire, drape a large curtain behind your targets to see where the bullets are going. You can occasionally replace the curtain when it becomes too holy for you to use.
We also had adapters when I was a conscript in the Swedish army. Also fired 22 long rifle, but ours were for the Carl Gustaf 84mm recoilless rifle, and they were the size of a full 84mm round. Kinda funny when those big things went *plink*
That had to be funny. About 30 years ago I was in Sweden for 3 weeks and it was awesome. I was 17 and midsummer's eve was in the middle of my trip. I visited the exchange student who lived with us for a school year. I partied HARD on midsummer's with a couple special forces guys. We broke empty beer glasses on the bar floor. Is that normal?! Anyway I loved your country and had a wonderful time in Goteborg and Stockholm and some small towns. Plus an off grid summer house on an island for cod fishing. Great times, I'd love to go back.
@@tomitoropainen2765 that's exactly what the original post is talking about, a modern bazooka. You probably used the same kind of Carl Gustaf, they're used by the USA and other countries.
I've seen training rounds for CG that also use adapter but are about the same diameter as the real round. They go off with nice thump/boom plus bonus fire and smoke. Loud enough to trigger car alarms from quite a distance.
It would be "your" not "youre" you're is abbreviated for you are your is different so in a sense saying you are cool would be you're cool or saying your gun as in a thing
Do you wanna know another thing that would any really crack me up is great but if someone up with somebody or somebody somebody, that’s a Pitocco Pitocco to go to bed super Duper to pick Dohse up Octágono to get up at seven to go to the Super Bowl but somebody would, but somebody somebody with ocean some jumbo at the ocean December December, December, December, December, December of somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody’s business somebody’s business somebody’s business somebody’s business naked feet make it feel naked, naked, feet, naked feet naked feet naked feet naked feet naked feet naked feet Rowan McDonald beat his wife with a shoe belt
That's actually a GREAT invention and it works in any kind of situation whether it's survival or just basic home defense, yes it restricts you to 1-2 shots per reload since i assume this is for breach action shotguns only but as long as you have the correct adapter you can pretty much shoot any round from the same gun
You know what would make an interesting video? If you somehow made barrels in clear materials. Maybe get them drilled out of long, thick blocks of acrylic or something like that. It would just be really neat to see the combustion and compression/expansion effects all the way through.
Not quite the same thing but Destin on Smarter Everyday made some videos with clear suppressors. They show the fireball and gas inside the suppressor and how the baffles affect it. Some company still makes (maybe) the clear suppressors and he talks about it in the video.
The barrel has to be made of strong material to contain the explosion, it would probably be possible to 3D print a very thick transparent barrel for .22 short, but unlikely safe.
I'd like to see more videos with the 50 beowulf. The one review I seen you did with it I feel in love with it. I'd like ti see what it will actually go thru
COMPETITION/VIDEO IDEA WITH THE BOYS: Push a .50 bmg into a water melon like you did at the last part of this video. The, the boys each spin a wheel to see what type of .22 they get. the options would be something like lever 22, 22 revolver, shotgun with the .22 size insert, and then something else. then, stand back like 50 yards and see who can hit the primer on the .50 that's already sticking into the water melon, the only part showing being the end of the casing with the primer.
The only question is whether or not hitting the primer would set it off. I think those primers are built for a pretty skinny pin, so the wider diameter of a bullet might not be able to set it off.
Dave Canterbury- a bushcraft and survival instructor- recommends them for emergencies because it gives you more options for hunting or defense if you’re scrounging for ammo. Gives you a lot of options for a lot less money than buying a bunch of different guns
@@evanf1443 i was about to comment the same thing, if there was a 12ga version of rutger 22 takedown!......what would also be usefull is a 12ga co2 arrow launcher, makes a shotgun in to an airbow...
After a little break from a few channels (I like to binge watch my favorite content creators not just one episode at a time) I chose this video... about 7 seconds in and i was happy with my choice and dying of laughter.

Hey Matt.. you should push the .50 BMG into the watermelon like you did at the end of this video and shoot the primer on the .50 with a .22! BTW, absolutely love the videos, been watching them from way back in the day. Thanks for the great entertainment!
This is by far the best demolition ranch video I've ever seen😂 I cannot believe you put that song in your intro that is amazing, absolute peak content from Matt.

Those adapters are so cool!! 8:52 I want to retire somewhere I can have my own range in the backyard, I need those adaptors (and a triple barrel shotgun)!!! That looks like so much fun!
I got super into adapters for a while, I liked the idea of just having one gun that could load almost anything. You can get some 12 ga adapters up to 8 inches long, and I think even up to 20 inches long for certain calibers (there's a rarer 7.62x39 adapter that's long like that). The downside to the longer ones is that theyre usually centered in the barrel by rubber gaskets at the end of it, which isnt the best for achieving accuracy.
The 'survival furniture ' for the single shot 12g is nice. Fits all your adaptors within the handguard/stock. Plus ammo, knife, lighter, etc. The 6in .22 rifled is nice.
I can imagine people will be confused at the range when you use this thing. Everyone ejects their shotgun shell while you eject it, shake it, and put it back in the gun, AND insert a "not shotgun shell". Nice video as always Matt!
