It was interesting to find a walkthrough of the game, but without comments, the footage is boring to watch. Good thing I found your channel. Thank you for an exciting, measured adventure with a calm, charming tone. Once again, I am convinced that the authors of non-million channels are trying to improve quality instead of chasing quantity, pouring out a ton of inappropriate humor.

quick explanation on the voltage puzzle. i also solved this quickly by accident the first time, but i stayed to figure out how it works, because i don't like solving puzzles without understanding what i actually did. if you look from above, the poles on the very right are 5volts (🔵blue) each, the ones to their left are 10volts (🟢green), the next row is 15volts (🟡yellow) and the row on the very left is 20volts (🔴red) each. you then have to build a direct connection from the one bridge (start) to the other bridge by connecting as many poles as needed to get to exactly 115volts. when you revisit that puzzle later, the voltages per pole are higher, probably due to that additional acid, and so every pole has now +5volts more iirc. you still need to build a connection to get to 115volts, but the poles are now 10v, 15v, 20v, 25v instead of 5v,10v,15v,20v like the first time. i hope this explanation is somewhat correct and might add to understanding the situation a bit better. 🙂

I really appreciate your initial gameplay streams, they helped me out in a couple places where I got really stuck. I'm enjoying watching this playthrough now! Huge fan of the game, will definitely play it again many times in the future.

I am slow when it comes to solving games like this. However this game from CYAN is the most beautiful and satisfying game I've ever played. It was my go to, relaxation activity on Sunday evenings. It often kept me up way later than I wanted to be. I have now reached the bittersweet conclusion. Happy and satisfied that I completed this game with only one hint needed, but sad one of my favorite Sunday evening pastimes, playing Firmament, has ended. 🙁

This is a very helpful video. There's a few (very few) bits to the walk-through that are brushed over, but those few are not difficult to work out on one's own. Of the game itself, for all the talk of it being "glitchy," I did not find this to be the case, that the glitchiness is just the story not exactly following what the user/player might consider a logical order. The game itself is much longer than I thought it would be. That is not to say it was any less enjoyable, rather it is just very long. The narrator, the little girl with the bad French/German accent is very talky--annoyingly so--but she's a small price to pay for what is otherwise a very entertaining game. For the record, I used a Mac M1. Paul B.

Like Myst and Riven half of the game is exploring and walking back to move forward or to see what happened, learning the noises and what they could be always helpful.

This is a fantastic walk-through, although I do have a few comments when you moved the ice block to the second part of the puzzle to the ice quarry the walkways that raised at the first part of the game automatically got lowered because you move the ice above them and those walkways need to be raised again and also, when you didn’t go down that elevator, there’s a door down there that you should’ve opened as a shortcut

I'm on the underwater puzzle on Curievale (I think that's how you spell it), and it's an absolute BEAST to figure out. I've been able to do a good portion of it without assistance, but I'm about ready to get a proper solution, because it's a literal maze of walkways, ramps, and pipe things that block your path when you activate them.

This is the best walkthrough video I have ever seen for Firmament, thank you. Is possible something similar for Obduction? Thats good game too, but I left in the maddening maze section.

1:49:49 there is also a diagram on the wall next to the entrance that explains the mixer mechanism and how to rotate and attach/couple the different parts.

All individuals that have created Firmament-related videos have had a much higher audio level for their commentary and the game's commentary at near whisper level. The tiny white script could have been a larger font with black outline that would have provided a good contrast since the game's character narration on occasion fades away at the end of the sentence. Also, be sensitive to the speed of the walking and panning. I have no idea if other viewers have the same problem, but on occasion I get vertigo and get sick to my stomach due to the speed of the panning back and forth. But maybe that is just me.

Thank you for the video..question...when in Juleston, my empty cart is stuck halfway in the car door. I have tried to Teleport To Safe Spot multiple times and of course tried to reach the front of the car to connect to it to reverse it. None of these work...do you have any thoughts on how resolve this without having to start over?

Definitely planning on it. As it stands, I know old school Riven very well. That said, I guess they'll be expanding it a bit in the remake. So I'm sure there's a few things I'll have to figure out before completing a walkthrough.

First time watching one of your walkthroughs. Great job! I love the way you explain things as you go. The only thing is I can't follow the underwater Curievale part. I've tried to follow as you do it but I think you skip ahead at points and I'm so completely lost. Oh well, I'll eventually get it.

Yeah, its a tough one. I had to edit it down to the necessary steps after having to figure a lot of it out again while recording. All the steps are there, I'm pretty sure, though the walk in between stops might be missing a couple of times, so my location might not be clear.

In two places you must break ice off the valves before they work and in two places you need to do a relay shot(Bank shot) to reach valves. When you shut off a valve to go around it, it shuts off another valve. Don't worry about it. Not needed after that point. And forget the elevator it is a ruse!

Please tell me how to noclip in firmament. St.andrew locatio .. I hate this location with grass and cannot pass to last door in uppeer floor. This column broken can be pass simple jumping serious... Im lost three days and im still guessing this f grass clumbess, rotatong it and move up and down up and down. Hate it. Burn it!!! Pkease give anybody noclip cheat. I end game and remove it today.

I wanted to love this game, unfortunately the only thing redeeming about it are the amazing graphics, and that's it. The puzzles are very tedious and boring.
