I have an old TBS crossfire on a Jumper T-Lite. Been having troubles but your video quickly cleared a few issues up. Had to downgrade the Crossfire firmware as well. Thank you.

Oh God, you jus't saved my T-Lite's v2 life. I bought it a week ago and I wasn't able to make it work. I think that she came disconfigured from factory, or with wrong software but now I was finally able to use it in Liftoff!! Thanks a lot.

You may not need to update the xm+ FW because you will still have the "x" protocol option.

can i just download and install fw on the interanl protocol module and leave everything else alone if i'm happy with it as is? I just need an ipm update so my t lite can control the gyro on a xk290 brick, but so many steps -- looks like just updating the ipm part would be easy enough?

great video... i seem to have choice of internal and external RF - somewhat redundant, but are they the same thing and this is just how open tx views the device? thanks for your concise video

the external RF is when you add a transmitting module. unless you have separately purchased and added a similar 4in1 or CC2500 external module or a specific tx (expressLRS or CRSF) you would want to use internal.

@@ashleycollard8968 he is probably using an external 4in1 or CC2500 module because he's using a proprietary radio (I.e. Frsky, TBS, Spektrum)

@@IRONQUAD nup, it's a jumper t-lite... but it's all there according to the screen, in int and ext RF however, as the throttle wires aren't intact (soldering it later today), i don't know if it's artefact

Hi I have a Jumper T lite Frsky and I would like to run ELRS on it. Is there any way i can do it? i am low on budget so didnt get the tbs tango or radiomaster Boxeer, Tx16 ELRS versions.

you can get an external ELRS transmitter module from several different companies and attach it using the external module hardware that came with your T-Lite. We have Jumper's version: www.ironquad.com/product-page/jumper-elrs-aion-tx-2-4ghz

does this work with the 900 MHZ version? when you get to the multi protocal at 5:16 it shows the 2.4 Ghz module.

I believe you may have the T-Pro as the T-Lite does not have an internal 900mHz version, or I don't think there is.

yes, you should be fine. However, the radio will let you know if you need to update the IPM on the bind screen as it will flash a message to do so.

I didn't get the nice little icon with the mm-stm-serial.bin??? It was hard to tell if you wrote to sd and swapped or if you wrote to sd over usb. I wrote to sd and swapped, always faster.

Both works, but for 180k file, you can just transfer via usb

A few days ago I bought a "Nazgul5 V2" with a Frsky R-XRS receiver, and I have a Jumper t-Lite as a transmitter. I have done all the steps that appear in the video, I update the transmitter but I cannot find the correct model: Frsky X. I go to SETUP/Type but Frsky X is not here and I can't select it. Hope someone can help me. IRONQUAD, thanks for your videos, they are very interesting.

You will need to either update the radio transmitter's FW or find the protocol "FRSKY" and change the subtype to "D16"

Man you have to make the video clear steps by step i really never understand do i put the jumper t lite folder to the usb or i just copy all the files for sd card and put them to usb 🤷‍♂️

The files go into the USB drive. The reason for making Jumper T-Lite folder is to extract the files from the zipped folder.

Great video. But I am having an issue connecting my T-lite to a FrSky R-XSR receiver! Its driving me nuts. Do you have any ideas on what to do? Would this help?

Depending on how you are connecting the RX, make sure it is on the correct mode. (SBUS or PPM) If you press and hold the "bind" button, it switches colors from blue and green? I forget the colors but you can find more details in the RX's manual.

@@sburnham3 Function wise, it doesn't look like a big difference. The only difference is the zorro offers internal ELRS but you won't get the benefits of 4in1. You can also add the ELRS and CRSF to the T-Lite and basically comes down to the looks.

You need to access the radio system menu (SYS key) and NOT the models menu (MDL).

Hi, something got wrong. I have copied on the SDCard the firmware provided by the website of Jumper. I run the Bootloader 2.3.13 to wrote the Firmware. And I get now a black screen and a message like 'setup warning' (not quiet sure). I tried your tuto to get it fixed but still the same problem. Any Idea?

@@IRONQUAD Bootloader screen (press bottom buttons + Button On) is fine. When pressing button 'on' alone, the screen shows the logo OpentX without backlight, then I hear the warning 'setup warning' (not quiet sure), then the screen turn to be black and the led is red. Pressing buttons (ENT or RTN), a bip is emitted, the led turn green. pressing again it turns red and the warning is back...

@@IRONQUAD I have created in Companion 2.3.13 my radio Tlite (basic ), then I download the firmware (opentx-tlite-en.bin) and The SD card (sdcard-128x64-2.3V0038.zip). I have uploaded the firmware from companion to the radio. I have formated a sdCard then copied all the files from the zip file. I have insert the SdCard in the tlite radio, then swith it on normally. Same prb: The screen shows the logo OpentX without backlight, then I hear the warning 'setup warning' (not quiet sure), then the screen turn to be black and the led is red.

Man I followed it, then plugged my T-Pro into comp, doesn't recognise it :( Spent about 24hrs on this now. I just want it bound to my emax tinyhawk 2 freestyle :(

This is NOT the T-Pro but T-Lite. Not sure if Open-TX has updated yet but you will need to either email JumperRC or hopefully they have the T-Pro FW on their website

@@IRONQUAD found out the problem. Sent back the ELRS, got the 4in1 T-Pro. Solved it!
