Wooo hooo!!! And they’re off!🥂 Let the adventures begin! Can’t wait for you guys to meet other cool van-life peeps on your journeys. Super smart to start your trip close to a home base. So happy for you! Your van is sooo cozy. Personally hope I can get to Wales someday. It’s really stunning. You got this! Cheers!
Woooooo!! Thank you for your lovely comment 🥰🥂 we are soooo excited to get this show on the road hehe! It felt a lot more comfortable being so close to Dylan’s parents house, so we didn’t have to worry about anything!
Oh yes some of them are sooooo barrow 👀 not ideal when coming across another big van haha! We can’t wait to spend some more time in Wales - it’s really so wonderful! 🥰🏴
Give him a break. You are so full on ……..calm down…….you think you wear the trousers……you come across as not a nice person. 😩🏴🏴🥃🏴🏴
Good to see you guys enjoying North Wales. You have to visit Abersoch great village vibe, great restaurant as you drive in Lost Sheep, great food, great cocktails. You will luv it.
Happy Thursday. *Your van is epic.* Spot on parking. Gorgeous views. So excited for you both. The beach. Wow. Gorgeous. First meal. Love it. The lights above your eating area are so cute. Perfect. Great place to park with the sound of the water. The rainbow. Wow. What a view to wake up to rain or shine. Learning your new home. Thank you for sharing the realities. Loving these videos. Thank you for sharing. Happy Thursday. Wherever you are. Living the dream. Being relaxed. The drone footage is so beautiful. Cold showers will keep you looking youthful. Van life. Hope you get whatever sorted
Hello!! Thank you! We absolutely are loving our new home 😍🤗 It just went from fantastic to even better! Oh yes cold showers are meant to be good for you… but wow it wasn’t pleasant! 😂
Always enjoy your videos regardless of what you do/where you go! You guys are entertaining and the vids well edited. It'd be nice if you did a Q&A at some point for us to learn a lil bit more about your thought process behind the decision to slow down with your travels and start this van life! 😉 P.S. I kinda miss your hotel series in Thailand, which I recently noticed is not visible any longer
Great park up in Porthmadog. It's beautiful there. Just one thing - it's not the ocean. It's on the Glaslyn Estuary which is an inlet off the Irish Sea. Oceans are the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian and Arctic. I know it's picky but I just think facts should be correct. Enjoy the rest of your travels, you're going to have a great time.
23:41 I assume you guys have some sort of a toilet thing in the van...either a porta potty (if you absolutely must) or better: a composting toilet (DIY ofcourse) which is great from a where to put the waste water perspective and easy to clean and empty...
If your thinking of going to cornwall can I suggest hendra holiday park in Newquay really good site with excellent clean showers always hot water and clean toilets and electric hook up for the van
@@2Passports1DreamAs a local I'd suggest missing Newquay. Nice beaches and good surf but way to busy and the high street is full of mainly touristy shops. Grab yourself a paddle board or kayak and explore both coasts and the rivers at helford and falmouth
lidl and aldi are not cheaper anymore. my regular shop is a lot cheaper at tesco recently. and i get clubcard vouchers for spending there. i will go back to aldi when they reduce their prices. every week they seem to have gone up and not down. tesco are cutting prices. i think aldi are just getting greedy now
Yeah the L3H2 sprinter/crafter vans are great for a campervan build. I am converting a sprinter version myself this year... ampel space and headroom...love it...
I loved your last answer Ben, the inner work is so important. I’ve been blessed to have had a dark night of the soul. Questioned everything and am now rebuilding my life from the inside out. I probably don’t look as successful to joe bloggs but I don’t care because I feel more aligned and that makes everything feel so much more full ❤
I'm not sure if this works for all car models but I have a Peugeot Boxer and there is an app called "My Peugeot" where I can see what all the warning symbols mean. It's been super helpful for me since I, like you Adriana, am not that into cars. ♥ Lovely video!
22:26 Ironically with your coolant adventure today you stumbled upon a way to make nice an warm water in the van using a heat exchanger plumbed into the coolant system of the engine... works great...great for those bucket and cup showers...
10:15 If you can place one on the floor try to find one of those water catchment trays for washing machines and build a ply box around it. It makes for a wonderful seating shower tray if you can get someone to bend you a curtain rail to match the square 70x70cm tray. two shower curtains will provide enough protection against a flooded interior... We use one for a couple of months now, a bucket and a modified bottle with lots of holes is our warm water supply...
I am a kid and i have always wanted to live in a campervan with my best friend and a dog. I have just always wondered what job i should get if i am living in a van. Have you got any ideas? 🚙🚐
Dylan does have his own business which he works for remotely. We also work overtime creating videos for RU-vid, which we are lucky brings us an income as well!
I've got you two choices that fit: 1. Edmond Dantes (or Dantes), the fiction hero of The Count Of Monte Christo that against all odds to achieve the best outcomes (like your van and u guys). 2. Wilson - other fiction character in the Cast Away movie, was a vital friend of the character acted by the legendary Tom Hank. Also very courage to conquer all the challenges to beat it till the end. From Vietnam with loves.
The Scottish outdoor access code is useful for van lifers. Just google SOAC and you’ll find it. Scotland differs from elsewhere in the UK about camping
I'm also from North Wales and have visited Porthmadog and Borth Y Gest many times in our MH. We love to visit the beach of Black Rock. North Wales is the best
Guys, gas shower and stove; minimum two bottles. Upgrade the electrical setup. Campsites are not the highlight of van life. You can hang a propane shower on a tree or the back/side of your van. It is super portable when it runs on gas.
amazing.. weird but i do love cloudy and rainy day better, like in your video. Wonderful. Maybe some tips, you can use google image search for easy search using photo, just in case you want to google something but do not know how to type it. Awesome video!
Oh yes the rainy days are SOOO cozy in the van! especially with something tasty to eat & a good book 😍 haha, definitely will be image searching it next time!!
I'm glad your 1st legit road trip in your new van went so well!!!! I know what it's like to encounter issues with a camper van (she says as she waits for her replacement inverter to be installed). 😂 can't wait to see your next adventure, especially with the change of seasons coming!!! Stay safe.
I would trade places with you guys for the rain in Wales over the Texas summer heat with no end in sight! The campground and the view are very nice. I’ve been meaning to ask you but do you guys have a back up camera for your van? I see that there’s a wall panel behind the front cab so backing out of parking spaces might be a struggle.
Beautiful campsites but in all the videos I watch from people traveling around Europe no one ever mentions prices, I think it would be great to know how much a campsite is to help our planning. I plan to spend a while traveling through the UK but have no idea of campsite prices. Keep an eye on the radiator fluid, it means it's losing water, either leaking or (I hope not) through the engine which will mean a costly repair.
Hello! Ah yes good point! The camp grounds that we’ve stayed in so far average at around 35£ per night, for a hard pitch with electric hook up! For two people. I think sometimes you pay less if you’re solo (and also additional costs for dogs!) Hope that helps!!
Loved your video! It is nice how you are so honest about the good and not-so-good things of van life. How come you are not using your bathroom inside the van? Waiting for the 2nd battery?
Hehe thank you!! The second battery doesn’t really affect the bathroom - we just don’t want to use it unless it’s more of an emergency, although I’m sure we will change our minds on that soon 😅
Well to say this was your first time in your own van, I think you both did quite well, Wales is very beautiful, from what I can see, but I prefer showering in my home. If I were younger and healthy then I would love to travel to, so take care both of you safety first 👍
Lovely vid guys....did you encounter any problems with your first park up?...great spot but can't see it listed on any of the van parking apps?... Would love to give it a go if it's hassle free ! 👍
Hello! We were also surprised that it wasn’t on any apps! Dylan’s local knowledge helped us hehe! We didn’t have any issues, no one seemed frustrated with us there 🤗 and the people that passed were very polite. There were a couple of other vans parked up on the same road that night 🥰
Hej!! 🤗
