They’re all Khatris. Khatris follow a mixture of Hinduism and Sikhism. Many Sindhis also follow this mixed religion. There are also some Muslim Khatris who still use surnames like Sehgal, Chawla and Sethi.

I'm Hindu, I have Guru Gobindh Singh Ji Portrait in my Drawing Room. We may not be Sikhs but we definitely respect Sikh Gurus to the point of being Proud of them. My family even has a Portrait of "Jesus" alongside Hindu Gods in the Pooja Room, We don't have any problem.
This temple is an Afghan Hindu temple, Sikhs do not worship in the way Hindus do as we have a different religion, albeit we do still respect their way of life. There are Afghan Sikhs but they worship in something called a Gurdwara.

They are punjabi hindu khatris with eldest son of the family becoming sikh. And as the no of hindus and sikhs are less in afganistan thats why gurudwara and temples are shared by the communities.

And there’s no mention of Hindus here. 4 Varna’s are Brahmin Kshatriyas vaishyas and shudras. He didn’t say hindu sikh or muslim.
