@Tacy Boetcher typically no, they’ll unfortunately suffer permanent damage. Unless it’s a ischemic stroke, then they could if the brain is anemic long enough.
People need to know not all strokes cause obvious physical signs, they can be cognitive. When my husband and I were working at our store he started to behave strangely. I checked him for all the overt stroke signs, he moved and appeared normal. I asked him my sister's name and he didn't know. I asked him some baseball-related questions, he couldn"t answer them, and baseball was his favorite. I figured he had a stroke, phoned 911. The EMTs arrived, checked his physical situation, said he looked normal, I insisted he'd had a cognitive stroke, we took him to the hospital, after scans, the neurologist diagnosed he'd had a left thalamic stroke. So don't assume if someone moves normally that they haven't had a stroke
My mom was the same way. Physically she was fine. She just was having major memory issues. We finally got her to the ER. They actually cleared and said she didn’t have a stroke. At her PCP insistence they did an MRI and bingo she had had a stroke in her right front lobe.
These types of strokes are very rare, usually you can see that something is wrong with the person, for example the person isn't able to smile or to move.
this right here! I had a mini stroke/tia in october of 2023 (and i’m a healthy 17 year old, supposedly.) i didn’t have a droopy face or anything else but i was physically unable to speak, and i lost the ability to understand other people’s speech. it literally sounded like gibberish to me, even though it was regular english. i didn’t know i was having a stroke, all i knew was i couldn’t understand english nor could i speak at all.
@@SAKURA-vd9rd excuse me? Yes it is. As SOON as you see the droop you call. ESPECIALLY if it’s followed by slurred speech. I hope someone you live isn’t permanently damaged due to your ignorance.
@@AiiRv Do you think ambulances just fucking speed like batman's car? You need to know those first aid skills to AT LEAST not leave the person hanging and to not start panicking.
@@VaswTs right… tell me, what aid do you plan to give that’s better than getting them to the hospital? The best you can do is try and keep them upright and responsive. You call 911 on speaker and get help. Stroke protocol is about time. Your ignorance will kill someone.
I suffered a hemorrhagic stroke 4 years ago i nearly died if it wasn't for the nurses & doctors in the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield I wouldn't be here today love them guys xx
That's exactly how I sounded but wasn't able to get emergency care right away due to some reasons and have deficits to this day, almost three years later. Please, please know the signs and don't hesitate to call for help immediately!
My wife had a stroke at work two days ago.it just happened. She felt a tingling in her hand and her leg went numb.she had trouble speaking.her heart started raising and she lost consciousness. Could not walk or raise her hands.her colleagues took her to the hospital immediately.
Put a wet cloth (dewatered) immediately in the stomach one hour. Little cold water is better. Keep in very airated area. Allow air flow. Then "Hip Bath" 30 minutes two times daily. Use all the medicines as per doctors. This is not joke. I am a severe stroke patient (2007) used this method to return to life. Even in the hospital without telling to the doctors I practiced this. After the stroke heppened do not wait for the report. It will take 3-4 hours to show in the mri report. Don't wait for this. By that time everything will be collapsed. The very earlier, the very better. It is a very good first aid. Good luck.
@@MM-vs2et @M M (1) sleeping, mid night, a bomb blast sound inside head (dm). nobody to help. put wet cloth in stomack. slept. almost. unable to drive. went to hospital. doctor prescribed some medicine. returned home.sit in chair. swallowed the tabs and drunk a glass water. vomitting started. continuous. 3rd time collapsed. (2) total balance gone. unable to walk or stand. left hand out of control. dont know there is a hand. right hand stiffy. no temp sense. lips to left side no control. no tung, no speech,....others took me hospital. no hospital nearby (neuro). in another country. all collapsed. flights rejected travel. consulted on phone to doctors on mother country. some nature therapy doctors also suggested immediate hip bath, spinal bath yoga etc. practised. 9th day traveled to mother land as normal passenger. modern+nature care treatment. yoga, hydrotherapy, meditaton etc. returned to life 90%. temp sense still no.. at some part. all the rest almost ok. regret delay in reply. i was affected covid very seriously and was in icu that time. that is another terrible story. in covid also i practised all those. good luck. i am from India. good luck
So basically you can't do anything? Just keep questioning until ambulance comes? Ask him to smile Ask him to speak Ask him to raise his hands Is it really hard to notice?? That's why you should making sure after making sure and again making sure it's a stroke?
Administer tpa as soon as possible (within 3 hours) if it was an ischemic stroke and surgery for hemorrhagic stroke. The way to tell is by doing an emergency MRI. Doctors won't be able to do anything if they were there, that's why you call 911 and not waste time asking questions.
@@Melody-jc5hk thats interesting, so its not like the tv shows, er, amsterdam , the good doctor?were by chance there is a doctor nearby and he says, the ambulance wont get here on time, someone get me a sterelised knife, a straw, and some clean blankets". and starts sometipe of procedures? Theres nothing different a doctor could do, if he was present?, without the hospital equipment?
Hey Dr Igudia ! Thanks for your work on my Herpes infection case. I couldn’t have done this without your help. You were awesome at my checkpoint! I couldn’t thank you enough. Appreciate that you help me stay healthy. God bless you Dr Igudia.
i think that the thing i had could be a stroke.I was alone nobody could help me.i felt my mouth pulling my right couldn't speak couldn't breath in our could breath out i struggled a while and falled on the the ground and maybe i crumpled i had my face hands and foot scratched. And at last i got up fine
You had a transient ischemic attack, which can lead to a stroke in the future. You should talk to your doctor about how to reduce your chance of it happening again.
Nah fuck this shit if someone starts acting like this I'm calling the ambulance right away xD I don't need to interrogate them to know something is seriously wrong.
They should really change their number to 911 in that country that is not a number. I don't want to see it because technically, three nines, it's another way of symbolizing the mark of the beast. Not that that's what they were trying to do, but that's seems like a downer to have to type that number, and when one is already having a situation, that's bad. Talk about an unlucky number.
