same this week ago i got my second vaccination snd seroum today even if cat was vacvinated my finger after 3 hours start becoming dark red and painfull i went to hospital asap 3 vacci atuim in raw first day after one week . today 1 vaccination next one after 14days . who knows where yall cats have been or where he been eating all years mybe trash full of dead rats . nearby river infected with dead human body ...

☠ ⓜⓐⓓⓝⓔⓢⓢ ☠ Well, since I got bit last week, I can tell you stuff that happened to me. Mine was infected: red, swollen, hurts a lot, and if I were you, go to the hospital. I did and they gave me antibiotics, and rabies shots. I had to get it because it was a stray. If it was your cat or a cat that had its shots, then it should be fine. Please go o the doctor if it was a stray. You can rabies and once you have it, you can’t get rid of it!

The issue is when the long, sharp, front teeth create a deep puncture. If the tooth makes it into the tendon space, it can become infected. There is very little blood supply to the tendon sheath, so it is very hard to fight the infection. Tendon sheath infection from a cat bite usually requires hospitalization, often requires surgery, and sometimes requires amputation to prevent the infection spreading.

I washed it with running water and tomorrow i'll pour alcohol on it hope I won't get rabies and hope i'll avoid them

@@jekjeklaron7008 Water and Alcohol will not prevent rabies. If you were bitten by an unvaccinated cat you should have had the cat quarantined for rabies for 10 days, then, if they cat were positive you should have received antibodies.

@@jekjeklaron7008 It isn't really a concern 99.9% of the time. But it isn't risk that people should take. Rabies is very rare. It is just that once a human shows sign of rabies, there is very little chance that it can be reversed. Once you have rabies, you will probably die. Tetanus is similar, but much less deadly.

It's not the cat's fault....! May I ask why he/she bit you? Like, did you stare at him/her in the eye or played to rough without knowing or she/he could've have just gotten scared and panicked.

i just went to my classmates house for a visit idk if i step his tail or not because i was really busy chatting and then he bite my feet... maybe he was being irritated that someone standing behind him.

A cat bite to the hand should be treated with Intravenous Antibiotics such as Penicillin/"Zosyn". It is delivered directly into the veins, as oral antibiotics take too long to be highly effective against Cellulitis. It takes 2-4 days for oral antibiotics to saturate your blood, while IV Antibiotics achieve saturation in minutes. By having them injected you start fighting the infection days earlier. Those days can make a huge difference in preventing a worse infection (blood infection, tendon infection).

Mine never has bit me either except maybe a warning nip. Lately she has been showing signs of feline hyperesthesia. She involuntarily bites at her haunches at random occasions. Its scary how she tenses up with claws all out and falls over because all she can do is bite herself. Tonight my hand was in the way and she latched on with 4 pointy teeth is the soft part of my hand between my pointer and thumb and she could not let go. I had to try to pry her off my hand until she gained control again. She is fine now and you could tell she was very sorry. :( I just hope we can get help for her. She is my Best friend.

Go see a Doctor right away, if it is swollen, or starting to look infected don't wait, go see a professional they'll most likely help you as they know what to do in this type of situation.

Dude a study found only intelligent people can actually understand cats. Cats biting you could mean"love bites". They play with other cats by biting em' so yeah. If they're biting harder then u should give them something to eat. They don't trust anyone easily, but if they get comfortable around you then you're witty. Take good care of cats dude they'll never betray and blessings come to you in unexpected ways. Cya!
