Fixing our first renovation mistake!! Sometimes, even the best ideas are, well, actually kinda bad haha and I'm happy to admit it - it's all about the process, and I'm glad we have found a hopefully better solution! In better news, I also made this rad headboard that I'm super proud of!

I can relate to reno mistakes… they suck! But it’s a relatively small “mistake”, and as you said you can use the curtains in other rooms! When we renovated our house we put in a new laminate floor throughout the whole house and ended up hating it. We lived with it for a year and then replaced it with a wooden one. A lot of money and effort down the drain. We loved the new floor, but after about a year it started getting dark lines in between the slats in some areas and we don’t know why. We had a survey done on the house to check for damp but there was none. Those floors caused me so much anxiety for 4 years until we sold the house last year. So much less stressed in our temporary rented flat. Hopefully building a new house in a year or two and I will be very particular about the floor, that’s for sure! 😄

The bed frame looks so good!! Like something you would see in Anthropology or West Elm. Curtains are a pain. I have been living with a curtain blunder for almost two years. I should have done custom, but I didn’t and the store bought ones are too long.

I had a couple of curtain mistakes when I moved into my new apartment 4 months ago. Something about curtains in particular I think are hard to visualize until they're up on the wall.

Don’t forget to consider how easily the fabric can be cleaned/maintained, too. I was surprised how quickly fabric by open windows can collect dust. Check all your candles to avoid soot - learned that the hard way. ❤️💕

For sure!! Linen curtains can be washed just like bed linens :) no dryer or they will shrink!

What about in winter when you want to keep the heat in? You might want to have winter curtains also to put up.

Arna, when you cut the tip of the glue stick off, cut it on an angle and make it smaller, particularly for this job. Should help with the blobs.

Good tip! Angle definitely would help although I really can’t use a smaller tip than the one I came with because I tried that and the product was just WAAAAAY too thick to squeeze through haha

you may have made your decision by the time I have seen your vlog I would go with the off white swatch there can be so many shades of "white" which can look bad together but shades of white and any creams and beige blend together so much better
