Howzit Daniel! Another great video! I see your Penn Fierce 2 reels really get worked! Was wondering if you still using stock drag washers? Or have you swapped to Carbontex washers? I got a couple Fierce 2's and wondering if I should swap them out for the Carbontex? Tight lines Brah!🤙🤙🤙
It is made using 3/8” stainless steel threaded rod. My kage frequently gets stuck in the fish. I prefer to remove the kage and then bring the fish onboard using my hands or another small gaff.
Awesome videos bro! I'm from Sydney and am going to Oahu for a holiday very soon. I was wondering where you can get an NRS life jacket in Oahu. Do you recommend any good Fishing Tackle shops? Thanks in advance!
Thanks. I think Go Bananas has NRS products, not sure if they'll have exactly what you're looking for. It depends what type of tackle you're looking for and where you will be staying. I usually go to POP fishing and marine. What are you going fishing for?
Yellowtail Kingfish is a popular target here in Sydney. I'm actually going to Oahu with two other friends and we all have a Hobies. Would've been awesome to go out and have a fish with you! Thanks for replying, tight lines!
Hey howzit, just started kayak fishing on the east side. Had some questions about your gear I’m looking for recommendations for life vests, radios and such. Thanks
I use the NRS Chinook PFD. I keep most of the tackle and tools on the vest in easy reach, it's also a good idea to lanyard your radio, pilers etc. I bought a 70 dollar radio off amazon and it has been working for 1 year, the range is able 1 mile so not great. I would buy one from west marine and get the warranty.
Thanks J! Mine is really just a shovel handle with a 3/8" stainless rod glued 5" into the shaft with epoxy. When I get the time I will make a video on how to build one. @J Skeez
That was a 6000 size, but the reel didn’t last long in the salt water. Since that reel I went through a spinfisher 5 and then 6 live liner. Now I’m on to the shimano thunnus, it is much better than the penn live liners
It depends. Lately with the abundance of opelu, staying around a school in 150 ft seems to do the trick (If you're targeting shibi). But as a general rule 200ft keeps you mostly clear of the stuff you're probably not targeting ie ulua, aha etc. Don't forget to mix your troll up. I prefer to drift with my bait, if I am trolling I keep it less than 1 kt.
@@FlyingFish_TV how far down your live bait on 150ft. Last question, lol. One of the best, keep it coming and be safe out there almost winter weather change in a blink. Aloha
