Nice that you made it to a show again, Greg. Things sure are different these days but definitely going well in the hobby. Shame there were no bargain boxes because that’s what enjoy too. I think what Andy is doing is great. Good to hold out for the cards that you want most. Once you get that Kaline rookie it’s going to feel so good and the cards you got rid of or didn’t buy in order to get it will not be missed. Good luck on your plan to get it!

Yea, some of these cards that these kids are walking around with at the card shows. Holy cow. Andy D's Collection. It is crazy how discipline he is right now with purchasing. I honestly do not think i could do what he is doing! The Baseball digest magazines are awesome. Also. Topps Black Gold are some of my favorite cards of the 90s, cool they amped them back up for modern guys. Bryce Harper is amazing in that set. Enjoyed.

Card shows are always fun! I’ve been a fan of the Topps Black/Gold cards too! Nice Arozarena for 3! Really nice Baseball Digest magazines! They look like they would be a lot of fun to look through!
Always highly recommend checking out a card show. It's always a lot of fun interacting with dealers and also other people at the show, also cool to see how your local hobby is doing. Nice thoughts and pickups.

Some great pickups! Love those Supers especially. Man I organized around 20-30 cards to send to comc to sell and just never did. I also keep telling myself to stop buying and save for a dream card I just can’t make myself. I say that to say that’s probably the smart move, but I for one can’t seem to do it. As long as the hobby is enjoyed…that’s what matters. Take care my friend

I have been selling for about a year. Just trying to figure what’s best to sell etc. I am learning little by little and enjoying it. If you ever decide to sell on there let me know. I can let you know what I have learned to this point.
Awesome you got to make it to a show, Greg! It can definitely be overwhelming after not going for awhile. I agree there’s a large portion of a show I can pretty much just eliminate because of no interest. There are definitely deals to be had on “low” grade stuff like psa 9s. Haha for a lot of people it’s a 10 or nothing. $3 was a great deal on a gold rookie of a star. Nice Kaline super. Cool digests. It’s always great if you can move stuff you don’t really want to put towards stuff you do
Thanks for the comment and watching. I shipped a small amount of cards to COMC this last week and I am not regretting it. If I can reach my goal with the plan I have, I will still sell stuff on COMC.
Good to hear you got to a show after so long. I'm in the same boat, I'm planning on going to one this weekend and it's been so long since I've gone. Great deal on the Arozarena. Just think of what we spend $3 on daily. Very nice pickups!
Yes I discovered that store a couple years ago. I should have went there instead but figured I would check out the other one. Card and Coin is more my style of shop.
I am a big Randy Arozarena fan, so I think you got a great card there. // Nice Tigers Super cards. // I am struggling with the same decision as you. I am beginning to think that cards I have not looked at in a while; and if I have no big interest in looking at them, then maybe I should sell them. Even if it brings you only a few dollars closer to your Kaline rookie, it might be worth selling stuff. Besides, it will free up more space in your home. Good luck in whatever you decide.
Great pickups!! It is crazy how kids have these wads of money at shows lol! I too am going through my stuff and trying to find time to get back on TCDB and doing trading! I haven't been to a card show for awhile because I spend too much lol! Again, great pickups and video!
I have never been to a card show. They dont have any around here LOL Hoping to save enough up to goto Dallas. Its only 2 1/2 hrs from here and my sister will drive me. I only have 1 black gold and its a Baez in his Tiger uni. They are cool looking cards. Great for a buck. I worry that the hobby will get too expensive soon because these kids have cards worth thousands. They dont look for $10 cards anymore, they look for $500 cards and higher. Sweet Kaline. I have Miggy cards and may have 10 of the same card and I still muddle over maybe selling some of them since I have so many of them. If they are cards that you dont even really look at anymore or have no intrest in them, I would say sell away. Make some extra cash to buy more cards that you like lol Great buys on the Baseball Digest books. I love the pick ups. Any Tigers that you want to sell, save Miggy's that you want to sell and shoot me a number. If I need the cards, I would buy. I know its a big decision on what to sell or not sell. Just take the time out to think it over and your answer will show. Thanks for sharing !!!

Hey Greg! I apologize again. I left a pretty lengthy comment last night but looks like it didn’t stick. Steve ended up telling me. It is crazy how much money these kids have at these shows. I’ve seen many of them spend more than I do in a year. The hobby is in good hands though. I’m glad you went to a show. And hope you continue to try them out. I appreciate you bringing me up. It’s not been the most fun year but I am inching closer to some bigger cards that I normally wouldn’t be able to afford. It’s also put me in a buying lull as it’s made me more selective on cards I’d like to buy. I’m looking forward to when you get that Kaline rookie. It’ll be a fantastic piece in your great collection. You have more confidence than I that I can make this project work to get a Kaline. I sure am going to try though. I have been getting so many trades that I have been able to narrow my search for cards that I need/want for my “higher end”projects. Don't know that I have any good advice since I'm in the same boat. But I'm thinking ebay for anything 5 bucks and up. Give away the rest. How is comc working out for you?
I have tried EBay and it’s just too much of a hassle for me. Listing and shipping for the odd hours I work and as much as I travel COMC works best for me. COMC has been ok so far. I enjoy it just not moving as much as I had hoped. It’s a learning process and I hope the submissions I am shipping tomorrow will be more productive. Could potentially get me enough $$$ for the Kaline. Thanks for watching and providing your imput.
First card show in years? Boy you have great discipline. I am shocked by how much money kids spend on new product. I was in no place to spend that kind of cash when I was that age. Great Bill Freehan card. Can I count on you for a Bill Freehan HOF vote?
Card shows are like that these days. A lot of modern and less vintage. I think the dealers move the modern cards much faster. Nice Topps Supers. I’m a fan of the oversized stuff, plus I can get them at bargains.
