Red Dead Redemption 2 has been out for only two weeks for PC, and already cheaters are using mods to become invincible in game. I'm disappointed, Rockstar.
Thanks for recording that. I'm beside myself with cheaters. After I encounter them I feel like it's a waste of my time to even play. I'm sad because the game is so beautiful and has so much to offer in terms of emersion in historical times, and opportunities to interact with friends. I'm beside myself! And I dislike people, in general, more and more each day I play online games, watch the news, or go for a drive. :(
Yesterday's cheater ported about 20 players 1000 feet in the air above Mt Hagen, we all fell to our deaths, horses dead too. Today's cheater appeared at my wifes camp, was invincible, spawned in a wagon with machine gun and killed me and destroyed my hunting wagon (had to pay $8 to repair it). After we parleyed, he ported about 20 players across the map and used the machine gun on them, (didn't kill me cause parley was still active) Last weekends cheater, would appear next to players, and explosion would go off throwing you 100's of feet in the air and you drop to your death.
Seems most of the players we come across on voice chat are Chinese speaking. Seems there is no region locking. Reminds me of all the cheating from Chinese players in PUBG.
I just ran into my first cheater tonight, I was so mad. I call him out on it and he admitted he was in god mode! He said that I can report him and it will do no good as he has been reported hundred of time (his words). He then says to me that im salty and a cry baby. I told him I was, because its people like him the will ruin the game and make it not fun anymore. Now i feel like i just wasted 60 bucks
If Rockstar follows the same strategy then they'll permaban anyone who tries to cheat in money or gold bars, but won't care if you get blown up by an invincible person.
You didn't waste your money because of one cheater! The main game, the story mode in singleplayer is great, you should try that and you'll probably have fun at playing the game again. These cheaters (certainly not all of them but most) are kids or "grown" men with brains the size of a pebble, of course you'll hear or read "salty", For Honor is a good example, not at all cheaters here but the same people about 10 or 12 years old throwing crap at each other like angry apes. Ignore that toxic attitude of these angry twats and enjoy the game

I don’t think rockstar has any admins monitoring the servers. From what I know and researched. There’s already a cheat menu in single player, god mode, unlimited ammo, ect.. The application that these cheaters use, basically enables the single player cheat menu to be played in multiplayer. The cheat menu in single player shouldn’t be there in the first place :/ This is how other MMO’s will detect and ban cheaters. Data can only be edited and modified within the server, and not outside the servers like external applications.
I ran into a cheater too doing a mail mission. He was half-visible and i couldn't do anything to him while in mission. I disconnected and went for a walk. :)
Cheating should be criminalized its getting worser every year since morals decline aswell around the world. Also Russians and Chinese should have their own servers and not put with Europeans in same games.
I've been playing about 3 weeks now and have been randomly blown up by invisibles.... at one point I was protected in my camp and he just kept trying and trying. Over 100 explosions before he gave up.
Yes it sucks for me too. Guys in blue suddenly turn red and kill you, steal your horse and send 10 grizzly bears on your while doing trader missions. Really is a pain in the ass and definitely takes the fun out of the game. I'll play and be having fun the suddenly they show up and target whatever you are doing ruining the game for me. i just roll my eyes and fight back but they are many times in packs and I just restart and hope to get into a different server.
I so very much wanted to play this game but after my experience with GTA Online and modders, I said I'll wait and see if they fixed the issues, so now I'm happy not to ever give R* a penny again
Just ran into 2 cheaters. One in Takeover series, teleporting across the map and constantly turning in loot instantly. The other was in free-roam and was just plain invulnerable.
It's the same on Xbox. I've ran into insane amounts of people like lvl 300 and higher and you can headshot them 100 times and no damage is dealt. Rockstar sucks at this part of the job. Lol get these pos players out the game please. This is why people stop playing.
reason why i may mod rdr2 on pc i just want to change my character to john or arthur and do missions and bother nobody im not a griefer never will be had enough of dealing with that on console.
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I was hoping Rockstar would have done something against that. I still hope they will. Ban them forever. The rockstar launcher is supposed to scan the folder of the game before launch, but obviously it is not enough.
The lackluster anti-cheat measures in GTA Online don't bode well for RDR Online. Rockstar had 5 years to try to get better anti-cheat in GTA yet it seems there are more cheaters now than there used to be in GTA.
nope. rockstar has no anticheat-software. it´s same like 2k lol . zero, nadda, nothing, 0. i change again from pc to console like prince dizzy say, pc gaming multiplayer is nutshell. no pc more for me. next hardware is again a console.
Just ran into first Cheater... brought everyone within a certain radius to him then started spawning in gators and horses and bears. I was like what the fuck. Then some how he locked on to me and made it look as though i was spawning in stuff. It was so odd. I reported him and left cause i didnt want to get reported as the cheater since he made it look as though i was spawning in stuff. other people were already say to report me. I have to sit there and explain its not me don't report me!!!!
This is just another reason why I will NEVER buy a R* game ever again. R* hates their customers and keeps all the $hitbags in our communities. How long until RDR2 gets mkII Opressors?
@@lealeavitt826 , you should be able to just click on Report Player. The menu will pop up then you just type in Using the Mods online. Rockstar will cancel their account.
