Only a teacher can understand the joy of the perfect ratio of bins to shelf. 😂 Thanks for sharing, Michelle and I'm so excited for your return to the classroom. Can't wait to watch the journey unfold. 💕
Yay! Bookshelves! As an English major this makes me way too happy. I'm glad you got the right one. And you get reimbursed yay. What a good way to start a week.
Im Not even a teacher teacher... I substitute taught years ago and now homeschool my 7kiddos never had my own classroom which maybe one day but still LOVE LOVE LOVE all your videos!
You are most definitely a teacher teacher! I used to have a teammate who home schooled her kids and got certified when they got older! She enjoyed teaching until her retirement! Just an idea ❤
@reginarenteria2043 Awe I have thought about it! Idk when I'd find the time! It's a lot of work homeschooling! I teach 5grades atm 🤪 & my youngests are 11mo twins!
I am a homeschool teacher as well. I have 6!!! I turned my living room into a classroom. I learned how to organize from Michelle!!! I am so happy she is back in the classroom!!! And its cool to see other homeschool teachers in here as well!!!
Happiest Monday to you, Michelle! Scott and I always get excited to see you drop a new awesome video! We watched it while eating dinner tonight. I enjoy your budget-friendly approach to purchasing classroom supplies. From my own experience, I have definitely struggled with buying too much and getting really overwhelmed and then realizing I didn't use some of the things I had purchased. You are taking a really healthy approach toward acquiring materials you need for your classroom. I was so pumped to see the shelf that you got and I know it was so satisfying to see the book bins fit perfectly on the shelf. Way to go! I wish you well with the next steps that you have for your job. I am excited for your next video! 💜
I put the black magazine/book bins behind my desk on a shelf. I had one for each day of the week and put lessons, resouces, samples, exit tickets, book-of-the-day, and etc. to grab as I needed them. On Friday afternoon I would refill what I needed for the following week.
Hi! So glad you’re returning to the classroom! When setting up your class library, ask your school librarian about TX House Bill 900 (regulates books TX teachers can have in their room and what standards to follow). I had to go through my entire class library to make sure they were “allowed.” But your school librarian should have detailed info! 😊
I love the progress you have made as a person that can help you tremendously in teaching. With a thousand things to do it is good to have a to do list. The beginning of the year can be so overwhelming. I def need a walking pad to walk through it
I knew as soon as u only filled out one shelf of bins that you'd fill the whole thing before video was over (cause that's what I would HAVE to do also) Love it, great first purchase!
Michelle my dear, you should not feel obligated to say “if this bothers you….” it works for you. People will just have to accept that if they choose to watch. You do not have to justify your choices to anyone. 😊
Love the video! You are definitely on top of things and the pocketful of processing is perfect because it is a ton of info to process! Smartest move to get sports massage and foam roll. Stress leads to injury and illness!
I really liked go to Silos in 19 before heading to Austin for TPT Forward. As you said, the cupcakes are so delicious. There also were food trucks. So, we had a gelato. I brought a book and I read during a part of the afternoon. That was so relaxing before entering in the 3-day creation mode.
If the corners of the bookshelf are the least bit sharp, you may want to put protective corners on it (like they use for babies). I had a student trip while playing a classroom game and cut herself on the corner of a folding cabinet. The corner wasn’t sharp, but she needed stitches.
That’s your opinion but thanks for sharing 😅 Some viewers enjoy seeing the behind the scenes. Thankfully, RU-vid allows you to skip ahead and I take the time to create the chapters based on what’s happening at that part of the video 😉
Great find on the market place! I'm so excited about you returning to 4th grade right as I'm moving up from 3rd. I'm at a math conference in Orlando this week, and was looking for something watch after I unpacked. Low and behold, I had a notification that you vlogged again! Have a great week in trainings. It sure does feel like summer is over.
Love your bookshelf and containers . I was thinking if you remove the brace in the back, your bookshelf might be wobbly. Now I'm thinking of going to Waco the food looked delicious. We live in Texas.
Hi Michelle! So excited for you! I'm having to speed you up by 25%, because it seems slower than usual. Congratulationss on the new position, and I hope you have a wonderful school year!
Michelle, I teach secondary school but I love your organization so I still watch you religiously. Do you already have an email organization video? I would love to see how you set your annual email up, if you don't have one already! [PS would love the link!]
I was so inspired by your walking pad i bought my own.🎉 Question: What speed do you normally set yours at for working? I am trying to find a good pace & looking to see what people do! Thank you & love all you do🙌🙌🙌
Can you take out the complete middle of the picture frame? The reason I’m asking is because I want to use binder rings to hang miniature anchor charts and I’m wondering if that’s possible. Thanks!
Wow the rainbow is so satisfying! lol. I wouldn’t remove the crossbar in the back though, I’m sure it is structural vs. aesthetic. It will get very wobbly without it, especially with heavy books on it. Can’t wait to see it in your classroom!
Thanks for sharing your journey back to the classroom! 7 teachers in one grade level? Does that mean there are 7 classes in one grade? UK teacher here, and most elementary/primary schools have 2 or 3 classes per grade/year group, so very curious.
Can bookshelves actually look more pretty than this? No they cannot. Question to the French press: Does yours have an extra filter or something because the coffee looked so smooth and I find that mine always ends up having so much coffee grain still in it that I have to filter it first before pouring it in my mug.
Love your videos. Quick questions do you have a separate google task for personal/home and a google task list for school since you can't share google task with others including yourself and different google accounts.
I can not wait for the next video, because I am feeling stuck in buy anything. I will be a long-term substitute for 8weeks in a low-income community before I begin my DT. I don't want to spend too much money on school stuff. Just to remove every thing when I leave. This is the students classroom and I want to make sure they will succeed without me. So, I want to leave every thing for the students and the new teacher or the next substitute. Any suggestions in what I can do to make this possible?
