I was surprised how much smoke was coming out around the door. I have a lsg 42 with the ball valve, and with the valve closed, I only get smoke from the smoke stack.
You have to get the wood chips from lone star grills and donthe 50/50 blend of chips and pellets. The smoke flavor way more pronounced. Right up there with my stick burner.
Your wife is like mine and give an honest review. Not only that but you’re keeping it real and actually leaving that comment in there about too much seasoning. We all do it from time to time but a lot of RU-vidrs will edit that out or script it differently for the camera. Thanks for staying 💯

Awesome smoker! I was debating getting the cabinet smoker but couldn’t justify the extra room, but I’m loving my LSG 42”. Can’t wait to see your future cooks in it!
I want this smoker so bad and I’ve been waiting for a video like this. Can you do a video loaded up with briskets and ribs? Also how many racks or briskets do you think you could cook at one time?
So I'm not sure if you realize this or not, but I'm cooking for catering orders. So I can't afford to load it up. I cook primarily when I get orders. I think I could fit 6 briskets on a shelf if I had to put them close together, but comfortably 4 with a little wiggle room, then multiply that by 3 or 4 depending on if I used all the racks.

So you need to cure the paint at a low temp before raising the temp. I was advised to cure at an even lower temp than suggested for a longer period of time, it worked out for me.

Usually I'm cooking closer to 250 unless I am cooking wings. But I;ll try a few different temps until I find where I'm happy for the cooker to sit at while cooking.
Dash the thing I. Notice about your new cooker that's the Sami as my Lonstargrillz large Insulated Vertical Smoker is that the huge size of the interior of the cook chamber really doesn't come across very well. But I knew you would be blown away at the possibilities of that controller. I'll get you those pictures of the drain arrangement I have on the IVS today. Man I'm so happy for you.
Your other smokers look so sad... neglected, not pretty any more with that new HOT smoker right there... you handleing the way you did right in front of them... thats just wrong Dash.
