+GrimboNutter actually since Google fibre uses fibre optic cables and one dedicated for each house, the amount of people using Google fibre won't slow down your speed at all unlike cable internet
Not only is it crazy fast but it's a lot cheaper then what most people pay for speeds a LOT slower from other providers. Google is pushing the next generation, I hope one day they can be an awesome cell phone provider!
Some computers. That's the whole point. It's a system which WON'T be outmoded in 5 years like Dial-up, then Broadband... now Fiber Broadband. This is a real leap forwards.
It's true. And think of it. 10GBps is going to be blazing fast for years to come, and will not be outdated, even when new tech arrives for everyone to have something like 100GBps
When he said he had 4G and that is super slow i literally had goosebumps...lol man i am stuck with the speed of 1mbps with 100kbps downloading speed and for u 4G is slow😄😄
I meant what I wrote. Paying for 1GB/1GB per second in speed, but it does not seem to be capped, so every now and then it reaches speeds over 2GB/ps down. I live in a small Swedish city of about 50k residents. By the way... What do you mean with: "Unless you have your own server"? I've got several servers, of which none increase the speed of my internet connection ^^
My parents live on a farm in the middle of nowhere in SC. They get 3Mbps. For some unknown reason, Time Warner decided to lay fiber down their road and cover the countryside. I literally have no clue why. I've heard that they're a terrible company, but I told them to go for it.
Vinci There is no "Middle of nowhere" in Germany. I was there for surgery in Landstuhl while deployed in the middle east and got to tour your entire country. Very beautiful countryside and castles btw, but a lot of graffiti on bridges. The whole thing is literally the size of 1 or 2 states in the US. You're never far from anything. All the small countries in Europe have great speed, because it's not that hard for a wealthy small country to cover its entire country with fibre or fast internet. When I say middle of nowhere, I mean that if you find my parents house, you're lost.
They got one point wrong. "Fastest internet on the planet." That is far from correct. Many Asian ISPs have 2 Gbps - 4 Gbps and Swedish ones also, including a Swedish lady who has 40 Gbps internet, which is planned to be upgraded to 100 Gbps.
$500 or $600 is minimal compared to comcast or any other provider cause they throttle the heck pout of their service i would gladly like this please google massachusettes next
For the record, I don't own and operate the Kansas City Startup Village. I'm the CTO and co-founder for Local Ruckus, the easiest and most enjoyable way to discover and share local events. The KC Startup Village (KCSV) is a grassroots, organic movement involving a handful of people helping to reshape the KC startup community. If you think about it... you could download about 100 movies within a matter of minutes, and for us that would take weeks..... so really... travelling half way across the planet and using his wifi for downloads and coming back would be 999x faster literally. D: too jelous.
You mean 2/1 MB/PS? I doubt very much you have what you say you have. In the UK (which has the fastest download speed on average, across the globe) the highest you can get in download, unless you have your own server is 1GB/PS. And thats only for selected flats with 50 residents or more. So yeah, your a lucky bastard if you do have 2GB/PS internet...but i very much doubt it.
As for me, who has been living in a village in the past 20 years, I have 15 mb/ sec and it is still confortably fast for me, I can even imagine how would it feel to have even 80 mb not almost 1k
Kansas City is a perfect control environment, and if you think it's small then you're misinformed and further purvey the stereotype that anything with the name "Kansas" in it is small. Kansas City has 3 million people and is in Missouri, and our Mlb team is better than yours
