This job is therapeutic as hell and keep u in shape… I love order selecting 5 years in the Game💪🏽 great video my dawg was jammin out gettin the job done stay blessed
best advice i can give to people starting out as a order picker is just go in and worry about yourself to improve and don't give af about anybody else because if you try to be nice and follow rules co workers wont do the same specially the bootlicking vets that like to create drama for no reason. only time i interact with people is letting people pass by or talking to leads about an issue or getting more work after my assigned line is out of picking orders but everybody else can kick rocks and it sucks that it came down to that at my warehouse but shit co workers made it that way.
True that and I really feel bad if a woman is a lead or a boss Thay take their home problems and let us Dudes at work get it shit I recently been threw but fuk them I left that whent to another job
i pick at a -30c freezer in sweden, cool to see how it's done in another country. we call high perfomers for hunters lol, going hunting and shit. most orders average 70 minutes, 1.5k pounds weight. 4k$ for a month, 7.5 hours a day 5 times a week. just got forklift promoted, hard work good cash just got easier
You gotta upload more of these bro, these videos are very entertaining. I start a similar type of job on Monday with Core mark. And I was looking for videos like this. You’re super fast and very good at organizing the pallets bro.
Good stuff I can give props to a good selector when I see one worked for Sysco years ago but left just crazy seeing the warehouse again makes me miss it crazy how much time you had on that sounds just like my warehouse we had to pick 200+ cases in 35-40 mins
I’ve seen a lot of ppl that switch over from warehouses that service Grocery stores to a Sysco or Mclane/Us Foods struggle a lot at first cause the sticking labels on each case and having A and B pallets with stop sequence completely throws them off but once you get a hang of it Foodservice selecting is pretty easy just requires a bit more focus than regular throw and go selecting
@@hsojettedrub3821As a driver when we are stacking our dolly with product it would be easy for us to scan if all the labels are on the side versus the label being on top
@@Orderselectorfacts all u can do.....good looking out on the videos man I'ma bout to start at us foods , I've worked there as lumper but not selector, do I have a good advantage going in knowing the building n shit? I dunno I'm stoked tho it's a fun job in my opinion did it for a lil bit for Kroger warehouse not long I'ma watch your videos, like Wayne said repitetion is the father of learning
Tell me about it I work for gold star foods we have something called voxware and that shit is terrible we have to wear a headset and every time we scan a location it will say pick 10 or 2 or 3 and we have to say pick 10 confirm just to get our labels and sometimes it won’t hear you right so ur literally sitting right there saying pick 10 confirm for 10 mins just to get ur labels
Walmart only shipping to one store, when sysco ships out to restaurants, schools, hospitals and more places. So yeah u can’t compare Walmart to a actual food distributor company
I briefly worked at Sygma, and the order ticket gives you the location in zones. Once you know the lay out of the warehouse it becomes muscle memory and you know where to go after that. Some have voice command and some you just read off the tickets.
I just started working at sysco im doing orientation rn ive done this type of work at Walmart but we used tugger so im excited to start cuz ima get comfortable quick
Having music makes so much of a difference. My job uses the Jennifer system (similar to Siri) talking back n forth for 12 hours while picking is drainingggggg
Nice stacking. I picked for Sysco but couldn’t do nights anymore with a kid on the way. I’m picking for Safeway it’s nice cuz every pallet goes to one store so no bulging by zone. But because of that the standards way harder. I was pulling 130-140 at Sysco in the dry now I run my ass off at Safeway and get like 110 I’m like bruh 🤣
@@Orderselector facts checks be fat then a mf 😭 but I’m trynn hit Whip I can just imagine what them boys checks looking like we have a person who run a 160 damn near every night in that mf I be watching him just don’t see how he be doing that shìt lol he been there like 6 years doe
I just got the job and start in 2 weeks. I've drive forklifts and used regular electric pallet jacks, but never the ones that you ride. Is it hard to learn? They said we get 2 weeks training, but not sure if this is included.
They take you to ends of the warehouse that are not as traffic jammed so you don’t impede the other guys and your trainer gives you the run down and has you get familiar with going up and down the aisles. It is a bit different getting used to the speed and narrow tight spots cause you got to really move or you’re gonna piss guys off.
@@ryanboyle3147 Ya I already quit that job and found something that's not basically slave labor. Sysco also told me they wouldn't hire me after the 90 days if I didn't get 100%. That's bullshit, they should've told me that at the interview. Not breaking my back just for a shot at this meat grinder.
They almost failed me on my pre employment physical years ago for Sygma. They have you lift boxes with different weights in them and stack while they monitor your heart. It’s definitely a very physically demanding line of work.
I have a question. If you put your sticker on the case and the case falls apart, can you reprint that sticker or do you have to peal it off the old case?
If your still in the current batch you can reprint but if you complete and that happens then you’ll have to peel it off or supervisor has to reprint it from there stuff
When does wip kick in ? Is it at 100%? And how achievable is it to get wip everyday ? And do you get that for every hour you worked ? Also do you get overtime pay for whatever your wip rate is ?
Wip is 103, it’s very achievable if you work towards it(once you start you won’t turn bacc, yes I make wip every week, and overtime is 1.5 on your wip hour rate not base
@@Orderselector so is your pay determined after whatever your production is for that day ? Or is it like real time ? Idk if that makes sense but thanks bro
Yea but then they collect each day n average it out for the week n get one percent total.. for example 100 percent for 4 days then 110 on the 5th day you’ll run a 102 for the week
I already kno where the case is going before I even touch it.. Rearranging is something I do with in Limitations because it’s too much time and slows you down..
That speed with a talkman is about 80%. Scanning and stickering every box is so much slower. Not hating or anything. I'd be just as slow if I had all those extra steps.
@Sysco Cooler Selector I'm not calling you slow. You just don't pick as many cases per hour as someone using a headset. I know you watch my videos cause I remember you asking me how I made them. When I count your cases per minute, I'm pulling about 5 more per minute because I don't have to sticker them. Based on cases per hour, you are pulling about 45% fewer cases than me when I'm pulling only 100%. Percentages mean nothing except to people in your warehouse. Every warehouse has different standards and different obstacles. 170% in my warehouse is not possible and if it were it would be about 550 cases per hour. At that rate we would only need 3 pullers in freezer. Lol
That Kodak snot thot be going crazy! Much love from a fellow selector 🫡 this life style ain’t for everyone either like it or don’t. I love it. You can take care of your family and loved ones from this type of job
@@Orderselector I plan on getting into law enforcement when I'm 20. Will only be doing this job for a little I just dont wanna mess up my back and ruin my future doing what i wanna do
do Not use P.O.V. cameras. You can't see anything. Use real hand held movie cameras only and narrate as you go along. No music ....or hire a narrator . also no cell phone cameras and no drones . only Movie Cameras.. Hire a cameraman
Hey bro, dope video! I eventually wanna get into a job like this. It seems you're pretty damn accurate for someone who is going quick as hell. You got any advice for someone who wants to work as an order selector? All love homie!
Hi. Do you have like a routine of how to start your pallet in the cooler? In the dry I go by a 7 tie freezer I use a 9 tie but the cooler always gives me issues. Thanks in advance.
Totally number slave work game, start off we need 70%80%90%100% 120% you get a lunch special and management get$$$$ work at your pace but be productive.
Finna start order selecting at Sysco, I’m in training right now. I’ve picked before at dollar general warehouse but it’s nothing like Sysco fr. We used to run double jacks, it’s triple at Sysco and dollar general warehouse uses the vocalx headset, Sysco don’t. I’m definitely ready to get on the floor and start working on my stacking and learning the orders & where the product is. That incentive pay is crazy, you can make some serious money in there fr.
My man just stacking tho that’s was easy shamrock wants u have 4 different stores on two different pallets and be able to fit it all on two pallets no matter what
Most of the cases are a decent weight for me because I’m not weak 😂 but someone that’s not as in shape may consider light cases to me to be heavy for them.. In the cooler department there are a lot of heavy cases.. beefs, chiccens, and potatoes and onions.. only department is the freezer which has the light cases.. so if you wanna work in the wherehouse be prepared to LIFT!!
Yeah I’m already in the gym working out. I currently work in a warehouse but we only lift 50 so I was just checking to see how different it’d be. I appreciate the response!
Yea havin previous wherehouse experience is always helpful and working out is good.. those 50 pounds you doing is nothing so if you thinking bout upgrading wherehouse increase your workout
