I was confused about Edward losing his leg and his arm and had to ask someone about it when I first watched it but what happened was Ed accidentally sacrificed his brother and his left leg to “the world” in exchange for knowledge of alchemy that would bring their mother back but the sacrifices weren’t worth enough so it went wrong and then Ed gave up his right arm to bind Al to the armour

The anime had a running start because we see the Elric brothers being such badass alchemists. Also, Ed holds an esteemed position of state alchemist for the Amestris military. This episode helped briefly explain where we are in their character development.

It's kinda funny cause Ed literally has steel nerves with his automail

man FMA:B is such an easy anime to recommend to anyone. It's not a perfect anime, but personally, it just ticks all the check-boxes of a great anime. Great plot, all great characters, banger OPs/EDs, from start to finish. I don't think there were any plot holes in the story either, or at least I wasn't aware of any, the storytelling just, dare I say, top notch.

Some episodes have after credits and most don’t. You might want to write the episodes numbers with after credits that will show up in the comment section. This is amazing anime glad you are watching. This is also a show that the smallest detail gives clues about the story. I have been watching many reactors of this show and every time I see the little clues about foreshadowing what is coming that I missed the first time around.

Very late but both of them are genius level since to use alchemy you need to know biology, physics and chemistry on university level to be able to transmute which is why most people specialized in one aspect but all and ed didn`t. Also Bradley used a pun fullmetal in japanese also mean head strong so he called ed fullmetal for his arm and leg but also headstrong or stubborn for attacking him and not caring he is the leader

there's such "range" in this show, you'll even get things you didn't know you wanted XD also a different note, the face cam setup is suddenly way wobblier where it starts swaying from any tiny movement you make, anything to be done to stabilize it?

First time hearing this show subbed cus reactors tend to choose dub and I only read the manga, anyone know if Ed’s VA is the same as Toshiro from Bleach? Sounds like it
