I Hate the Prometheus map due to its harsh and fatiguing purple sky. It surprises me that most players choose it! I usually play the Styx map because of its charming nature and relaxing atmosphere.

I agree I wasn't keen on it to start with, I believe for most its about the challenge. Although I did get rid of the purple haze recently by lowering the settings ie Shadows.

So I just got the expansion with my friend after long break from the game. I see all old progress was wiped at some point, but you atleast get immediate boost to lvl 20 in new planet. Is that fresh lvl 20 enough to actually start in new alien planet? Or should we just stay in the 2 easier planets for a bit longer? Canyou actually survive with lets say tier 2 stuff in hardest planet?

The Prometheus map is harder than the other 2. I've not tried with a new character on this map, if you have not played for a while might be best to level up character first. But you could still on onto Prometheus as long as you don't venture into the swamp and volcanic biomes until you ready. Honestly the choice is yours. You could try see how it goes.
