Sorry about the bad experience ;_( Other than lot'sof tourists in summer in your neighborhood Old Montreal seems to have less sunlight Why ? The buildings come right to the sidewalk Which explain why Montreal pass a by law forcing builders to keep a stip of open land in front of their new buildings And this Further explains Why we have all those characteristic exterior stairs The builders not wanting to lose too much interior space Kind of clawed back what they had lost on the street front
