My first review of V12.3.4 uncovers what I think is FSD actually learning and modifying its behavior to solve a problem. I had stopped doing videos on FSD because there was so little change and often it went backwards. This is the first video on the V12 software and it is indeed a game changer.

Wow it's been a minute

That looks like a quiet zone barrier to stop you from driving around the crossing arms, not to simply stop left turns.

That could be. GFM

Very impressive fsd update. It's all happening for tesla now. The years of designing and planning are all coming together now. Looking forward to seeing how things are going with the semi. Sometime in the near future tesla will likely lanch a cargo van as well.

For so long it appeared that FSD was incremental in its improvements. This update is a real game changer, finally. FSD feels so natural now with little hesitation and sensible decisions so far as I have seen. GFM

Does the FSD control the stopping at the stop signs and red lights, or does the driver do that? Do you GPS program it for your destination, or do you have to let it know where to make turns. Does it know and do all the speed limits? Can it handle a yield sign?

You enter your destination. It will recognize and obey all traffic controls with the exception of school signs and emergency vehicle lights (bad). It occasional misses a speed sign. It will take you from location to location and if necessary, will guide you to charging stops. Most parking lots are included. Road repair zones are still a problem. GFM

if you keep on the main road longer is there a street to the left that could connect back to the 'missed' turned. seems wasteful to turn onto a street just to turn around

In this case, the closest road to bypass the intersection would cause you add about 1 mile to your distance. It made the right decision except for the parking lot option. GFM

I wonder if you intervene to turn back through a parking lot, will FSD learn from your behavior next time?

There is more to be done with this one, but my thoughts are that if you intervene it shuts down the learning curve. I will be doing at least one more video to follow thru. GFM

I think they should hire you and other tech minded individuals to be field testers, but not offer FSD to all buyers. Too many irresponsible ding dongs out there who would either abuse the system or become complacent about being ready to take over in an instant if needed.

I actually was one of the (fairly) early Beta testers for FSD. Although not paid. This went on for about a year. The idea here was to get large amounts of feedback to improve the system before offering it to the general public. But your concern is a valid one. Regardless of the increased capability of the system, it is not capable of dealing with all conditions safely. GFM
