I feel like if they would've gave this vehicle more horsepower, external exhaust pipes. interior LED lights, especially in the trunk and kept it at that price point. It would be a winner..
For me it’s just the LED lighting as well as some type of ambient lighting that can be changed would set this thing over the top for me. Especially on the Avenir trim.
@@GeneralMotorsJeff More horsepower is 100% able to be had at this price point, maybe not the LEDs.. to me this a miss, I would gladly pay an extra 5k for AWD and more Horsepower... Love the looks.
I definitely need a all-wheel-drive vehicle because I like going on the beach and I do not want to get stuck in the sand. I was all in on this car until you said that. 😢
The 1.2 Liter I-3 GDI Turbocharged Engine works well with the 6 speed auto! LSPI (LOW SPEED PRE-IGNITION) Could this engine be subjected to this type of engine malfunction?
I ORDERED THE ST MODEL WITH NO PACKAGES. I PERSONALY DONT CARE FOR ALL THE BELLS AND WISELS BECAUSE I NEVER REALY USE IT AND IVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM MANUALY OPENING A LIFT GATE
Nice car! Still don't understand why there is no back air vents for heat/air on a top trim level. Think that's a bad move on Buicks part. Otherwise its a beautiful car.
Looks great in black! That horsepower is a difficult proposition, though. Also, just a minor correction: This is actually not Buick’s entry TRIM LEVEL... The Avenir is the TOP trim level for the Envista. It is Buick’s entry MODEL.
Beautiful. I know they are trying to keep a price point but they should’ve added an awd option in this market. Subaru has been putting awd in that price point for decades
Ha ! You got to be nuts to buy a new car with only 3 cylinders! Too small and it's been tried before! They don't last very long. There's a reason car motors have many more cylinders. Luxury supercars have V-12 motors. Muscle cars have V-8s. The Rav4 has 4 cylinders. 3 cylinders is not enough cylinders! Everybody knows that. I think maybe Buick forgot !
This SUV has a beautiful and sleek exterior design but the inside is where it falls short for me. No rearview mirror camera, the touchscreen display could have been much better designed and fuller, and no backseat AC vents is very odd, especially in the top of the line version. Despite those drawbacks, I’m still impressed by it. The engine could definitely be much better as well but this ride has so much potential. I may buy it sometime this week.
i actually have OLDER gm with a 3rd gen ecotec gm, 2018 chevrolet cruze, its been a wonderful car recently crossed over 180k miles without ever having reliability issues
Like it but wing signature lighting is hidden and doesn't mimic Wildcat. It is still beautiful. It basically competes with Civic with dealers selling over MSRP. Buick is actually a good brand and I'm a Millennial
They really are helpful in a snow storm, or .... in actual fog. Fog lights add an additional safety factor, but most people from dry climates don't know how to use them. We've had factory fog lamps on the last two cars (Audi A6 and Buick TourX) - in late spring driving in the mountains above Denver, they let you go where you literally can't see your hand in front of your face through the clouds in our case. Daytime running lights definitely don't help - same goes for the starburst effect you get with regular headlights and heavy snow.

Base starts at ~$22.4k with 18" rims and full cloth ... but either way, Buick adds extra sound deadening, power lift gate and longer warranty. With the more aerodynamic styling, it should get slightly better highway mpg than the Trax. Above all - this vehicle will make sure "mom" looks a little more debutante-ish while picking up the kids from the school parking lot :D and she'll still get 28mpg doing it. The Avenir is actually the top-level trim (Jeff mis-spoke about it being the base) - but if one wants something bigger, the Hyundai Santa Fe FWD base model starts at ~$28.5K. In this price segment, it's all about compromises and honestly, if gas mileage, warranty or the latest styling isn't a concern, one can always pick up a used Lexus 470 with AWD with three-row seating for quite a bit less.
