We visited Kefalonia 25 years ago and is still our favourite Greek island of the many we have been to. Enjoy your holiday in the sunshine Looking forward to more lovely picture on your next video.
Almost 30 years since I last was in Kefalonia. like all Greek Islands it is stunning and never gets old. Once you have visited Greece you are always going back.
Been to kefalonia twice over the years and stayed in lassi once then 2nd time in skala.. plus numerous other greek islands we've visited over the years, all the islands are beautiful though 👌👌👌
Looks amazing - we had hoped to pop over while we were in the Peloponnese, but ran out of time… definitely on the list! So glad you got some sunshine ☀️
What a lovely couple yous are not been to greece for years but it looks great where your at my kind of place. Our last holiday was malta in 2019 and loved it. Hopes yous enjoy have a good one will be watching from Aboyne Aberdeenshire 👍

Aw you will love it Lorna 😁 haha it is surprisingly easy to ride around on scooter because of how quiet the roads are. Plenty of options for car rentals instead though 😊
Wow, an undiscovered gem indeed! I sure have never heard of such a prime spot! Yes, it looks very tempting :) You two seem to be enjoying this place more than Malta? Love the nifty camera work. How awesome about the sea turtles! That kitty was so adorable! Makes you wonder if someone owns it. Well guys you definitely own these videos and this one is no exception!
Hi looks like kefalonia is definitely worth a visit. How lovely would that be to see the turtles 🐢 running down the beach to the sea. Well both enjoy your holiday traveling around kefalonia. Keep safe. ❤
It is so lovely and we are so glad we decided to book the unknown 😁 aww we have some amazing shots to share next weekend! They are everywhere in Kefalonia haha
Was there in 2000 when they were filming Captain Corelli's Mandolin the owner of the small apartment block where stayed was an extra in it. When we visited Sami we were politely asked to switch our engine off ,whilst sitting in a traffic queue, so as not to interfere with the filming ! Beautiful island went back in 2002 & long overdue a return visit.
New subscriber after seeing some of your brilliant NC500 videos - very close to my heart. Never been to Greece before and was already considering Kefalonia after being baffled by the sheer amount of choice. Your videos have made the decision so easy for us.
The taped off bit is a turtle's nest, eggs are laid. Been there 3 times & not been lucky to see a nest hatch! But where you caught the ferry there are a few adult turtle's that live there year round!
highlands2hammocks goes Benny Hill.......I like TTites when there on a two-for-one deal......The look of Gemma's disapproval, wow it says, Campbell stop now if you want to enjoy the rest of your day type of look. This was a great vlog ,in somewhere that doesn't make you shiver just watching the vlog!. What happened to the camera lens Gemma pulled from the freezing water Excaliber style a while back while Campbell bravely filmed.......No wonder that pool looked so inviting. Wishing you both the best!
Hahaha glad you enjoyed it 😂 thanks for the support! We actually got it working again when we arrived in Malta, I think the heat sped up the process of drying it out haha! It works as normal now. Definitely worth the swim!
That restaurant looks lovely. We're going kefalonia tomorrow and would love to go to that restaurant do you know how to spell the name please. Ps great work on the channel.
Had many trips to the Greek Islands...beautiful. Things have clearly changed since then. Everywhere struggled to understand what/why a vegetarian was. When hey realised what I meant...they laughed 😅 Shame about Lidl being there 😕 It would be better to give business to local established shops/markets
🙋hi from Scotland sorry but kefalonia is not a secret island I have been going to the Greek islands for over twenty years they made the film Captain Corelli's Mandolin a film about the time the Germans and Italians were there juring the war they were terrible to the Greeks think you need to look into the history I am soon to be flying to kos to catch a ferry to the island of leros another lovly island all the Greek islands are amazing another favorite is Crete thanks for sharing take care
Hey Anne 😁 yeah we heard about that movie! Kefalonia definitely feels a lot less discovered than the likes of Santorini and Mykonos haha! Beautiful, have a great time 😁
Been returning regularly for 31 years now. Indeed when first arrived we were offloaded by a tractor and a trolley; I kid you not. As a much younger man I had to climb up and pass baggage to the old fogies: 40 plus 🤣🤣. Was informed by the security/passport control that they were going international ! 2023 one in one out and although German owned is easier then getting into Anfield ! Busier but hardly stressful and indeed still like old Greece. If you want a gem then try Peratata Ionis hotel below Kasteo/ St George’s castle. Best pool on the island, magnificent manager, sun beds galore and never busy. You can explore the island easily by bus, boat, taxi but recommend a car or scooter. Best and cleanest beaches anywhere, food reasonable and drinks similar. Don’t wish to over publicise it but just go, don’t dither and learn how to relax and enjoy Greece. Exactly that...I remember the tractor and trolley for luggage in 1991 very well. Just point at your baggage - lol! There was a 'new' terminal built but we were told the rich people on the island were paying the government to keep it closed as they didn't want the extra flight. Obviously things changed.
