Very impressed with DJI still aggressively developing and innovating in this market despite all the curve balls sent in their direction. They deserve being up there at the top of the heap👍👍
Social media companies are seen as manipulative ... which is proven right. China didn’t stop Starbucks, McDonald’s and many other companies :) DJI is only guilty is being Chinese owned. Staff in US are mainly US citizens though.
@Too Sexy For RU-vid yes, that and not competent enough. that's why the try to sabotage dji (typical american thing, when they start loosing market) in every chance they got..
Accurate video thanks! Flew mine yesterday as a first time drone pilot.....yeah jumped right in there. Super easy to fly for me the motion controller is awesome! Figured I'd try FPV straight away as I loved flying helos in video games in fpv. I know that may sound odd but it translates perfectly from vid game fpv to drone FPV.
@@Hazard4K Cheers, credit for the knowledge goes to J,Bardwell and Blunty. It's really good to know, especially as the antenna positions almost invite you to use them as a stand.
I was just about to type this exact comment, I'm always cautious that I don't have my Fatsharks lenses exposed to the sun when I'm out flying, the screen burn can happen instantly on the displays, much like sticking a magnifying glass into the sun to set paper on fire, you'll end up with small burn holes in your LCD displays.
I'm liking this product more and more. DJI really risked a lot in innovating products like these in an industry that is quickly going stale. Props (literal and metaphorical) for that!
@Will Iam Oh, really? What's the biggest innovation right now? You're still on analog most probably which is why you don't understand what I'm trying to say.
I like it. I wondered when someone was going to come out with a joystick style remote for flying. It seems much more natural than the traditional twin stick. Especially for FPV flying.
Been meaning to get into drones as a hobby for ages. I've been watching your channel and have gained a lot of knowledge - until today. Damn you, Sir, for introducing me to this specific technology. This is a boy's dream come true (and I am far from being a boy!) You have put me into the 'go- to-get-one' mode, and my wallet is not going to thank you. Brilliant series of videos, thanks.
Wow, Aldryn, the motion controller is wild! For being your first time using the controller the unit seems very responsive. It kinda reminds me of the FT Aviator but a lot smaller and more accurate. Thank you for the first look and testing of the new DJI motion controller. Take Care!
The future has arrived folks, I've been asking for this type of setup since the start. Good video, I got out of the drone world after Solo and Karma....well, also the over regulation and limited flying areas but this thing makes me want to get back into things. I'm all for buy American, but let me tell you...why can't we really compete with DJI, I know your labor is significantly cheaper, but come on man...every industry needs competition.
Great stuff but I like simple. Simple like my six old Typhoon 4K drones. Tip! Gorilla Glue! Great way to patch your crashed drone back together. I also use short lengths of balsa wood & tie wraps to brace.
Wii remote ftw! I wish all drones had this. Similarly, can't wait to see what happens when they figure out how to fly in acro mode with this thing (where there's a will there's a way).
2022-How to save money buying a DJI FPV. Look to bid on the 2nd hand DJI FPV online, some are going with twenty mins fly time, like mine. The goggles V2, motion/normal controller will work with the Avata which you buy a standalone drone for about 350, uk pounds. both are worth it
dji is such inspiring company. start by one student with passion, which lift up the bar in drone technology and bring top quality drones (and other products) to the market, without bs, they just work and are top notch, no real contestant here (only copycats more or less).all of this in less than a decade and today with billions of yearly revenue. and what i like the most, they stay private, no jobs/musk stupidity and stock hyping, just their products which speaks for their self (so, its realy just what you put to the costumers and nothing else). this is imo a good receipt, how companies should operate in modern world for sustainable and firm economies. no wallstreet bs etc.
Thank you for a great video as usual lots of information, much appreciated. I do have a request and I think a lot of people would agree with me could you possibly make a video specifically to the goggles settings maybe go through the settings and what everything does in there thank you
I think this controller.s easier to use than other controller that with a sticks and you won't crash the drone . Thank you pal for this video I really gained and enjoyed your videos
I'm not criticizing you, Aldryn, but go to the search function and put in "DJI FPV". Literally everyone and their entire families have put out video's on this drone! Wow, the race was on the moment it released!
@@FlytPath Hey, don't take me wrong. That's why I said I wasn't criticizing you. I always learn a lot from your video's. I just noticed this was your third video since yesterday morning, and it made me curious. So, I did the RU-vid search on this drone and was amazed at the shear numbers! Even teeny bopper iJustine with almost 7 million followers put out a video on this one. Of course, manufacturers stumble over each other to send her products. So I wasn't referring really to anything other than maybe the amount of coverage this drone is getting on RU-vid.
@@timothythompson3068 Oh I don't mind. It's always like that. Every release has multiple reviewers for multiple perspectives which is all good for the consumers.
As cool as this drone is i wasn't interested in it. UNTIL this video. That joystick alone might have just changed my mind. Now if they could make it work with previous drones that would be mind blowing.
Is there a Sport Flying video? Also some aerobatics? This will be my deciding factor, besides getting rid of the prop view withing the camera field of view. I noticed you can clearly see the props on each side.
Hi there...great vids you've produced and I've learned a lot. Small prob; I can't seem to fly my FPV with the Motion Controller. I see the image from the camera on my V2 Goggles and can control the gimbal up or down; but the motors won't fire up with the red button. I've done everything you said to do in the vid but no cigar! I even moved it 10 feet away. This is my 2nd Motion Controller as I exchanged it with Amazon, thinking it was defective. Thanks in advance.
I actually find this flight mode to be the most interesting thing about this drone, lettine people get that fpv look without the skill of being a FPV pilot. That said the parrot anafi has a similar mode called "arcade mode", no motion controller but it lets you fly with the normal controller to get a similar FPV style flight mode. I'd love to see a similar mode make it into the mavic lineup to let those beefier/more stable cameras get that same kinda look.
I ordered mine as soon as I seen your video on it yesterday, and I’m so excited! I’ve seen a lot of angles of the drone and realized that the camera module doesn’t look like it could support any ND filters. What’s your take on that?
How does one fly backwards with this controller? Mine arrived yesterday and tried it out but cant figure out how to fly backwards 😂. Everything else is super fun and intuitive
😷 HELP !! Can BOTH the Motion Controller AND the Standard Remote Control be bound to the FPV drone SIMULTANEOUSLY?? I cannot seem to do it. It’s either one or the other. I really would like the ability to have both means of control available with a drone in the air.. Thanks!
FlyPath that was really a Great Video & You are always are so Good on your Videos ! I don't think I would ever Buy the New DJI FPV Drone Or Hand Control either ! Wish DJI would have come out with a Mini 3 Drone ! Thanks for Your Great Video !
I have the Mavic 2 with goggles so is the motion control should work with it with some software updates? NO?????? Or they should change the combo not to have the controller but instead the motion control. That would save $200 and I know that motion controller does not cost to make at $200.
Ok so is it best to have the regular controller AND the hand held?? I’m wondering if you could get by with just the hand held?? Crazy feeling just watching a experienced pilot have a rush. God only knows I’d probably pass out lol
Hi my Frend Anastasio! I bought the Motion Controller and found it very fun. Consult, I have not been able to calibrate the compass (the rest yes) of that Control. Could you calibrate it? Now I am going to do a Refresh and re-link to its firmware to see what happens. Thanks!
Can you pair motion controller to your Mavic air 2 🤔 ? Do you think is this motion controller will be given as a standard accessory to upcoming Mavic series ?
