I finally got my new custom TX16S MKII from Radiomaster. These are some flights from my first session with this new radio. I was on the road this week and didn't have a chance to do a more in-depth review but it is coming. My journey to this radio was a long one and I have lots of thoughts to share with you guys. man...this is seat-of-your-pants FPV if i've ever seen it. fast and low. It's interesting that i can actually see the quad micro movements correspond to your tiny corrections unlike a lot of stick cam videos that are using heavy stabilization so it's all lost.

Is there a place to order (pre-order) the version with the metal faceplate? I just watched your short with the LED gimbal mod and damn that thing looks good!

They aren’t selling the version I have. I think lumenier has a version with the metal face plate and blue accents.

@@stingersswarm Thanks, I ended up buying the Lumenier version and white LEDs to go with it. I think I used your link but I had so many tabs open looking and comparing specs to make sure I was getting to correct one I'm not 100% sure.

What’s more comfortable, the Nirvana or the T16S? I can’t seem to find a comfortable hybrid pinch hand position for myself with the T16 after having used in Nirvana for years after switching from the Taranis.

Hmmm. It has been so long since I flew the nirvana. I would rank the tx16s right beside the og x9d maybe a little better. The nirvana was very good but kinda odd with the switches and the fact that I couldn't rest it on my belly. The mambo has good ergonomics but I feel like it is falling behind in features to the color touch screen, all metal cnc gimbal and edge tx features.

Hey man!! Here your super fan, I'm in doubt between this tx16 S OR TBS Tango for my new radio... I know yours has those amazing aluminum gimbals, but without them what do you think??

The tx16s is the better all around radio. The tango ii is nice but it isn’t as nice. Plus there is a nice upgrade path with the Tx16s. You can always upgrade the gimbals later if you decide to.

Also. Bardwell let me borrow his tx16s without the fancy gimbals for a month or two while I waited on my custom version. The stock gimbals are also nicer than a lot of other gimbals on the market. Definitely feel nicer than the tbs gimbals.

@@stingersswarm thanks and what camera angle you run. Im new to this and been practicing a while on a simulator, but about ready to buy my first set up. I think I'm gonna go with the dji digital goggles and have been eyeballing the radiomaster tx16s, wondering if it's a good buy? And still trying to decide what type of drone to get to fly free style

The mambo definitely has good ergonomics. I'm tired of waiting on edge tx and I'm just ready for some really nice gimbals.

thumbs down nice steady as she goes cap. My throttle management is getting better every day working them gimbals I thumb as well. it like a different breed of flying you gotta have them surgeon hand of stillness cool flying dude peace ✌️
