I’m sorry you had that bad experience. You may not want to file on your insurance but this is definitely a claim. Police report is not needed. Your insurance carrier can find her insurance with just her tag number. They could even be able to search her name and number.
The cargo hitch isn't a very expensive item so I don't think filing a claim is super necessary and would probably be more work for me than would be worth it. I did take a picture of her license plate though lol if I feel like I want to go that route I'll be glad I took the photo!

I think Mark involved himself because he knew he was in the wrong. He shouldn't have removed the barricades until everyone was finished packing and gone. He's deflecting blame onto you for his mistakes and getting the girl on his side. I would definitely report it. Love your videos by the way!

Pretty sure that Mark guy is being rude & mean because he wants to scare you so you won't go after him about problems with the event. Putting the blame on you so you feel guilty & don't do anything. I would have just got the police involved if they started all the trouble that night. But if anything maybe you can contact your business insurance or even car insurance to see if they can cover the damaged totes & Hitch? Sorry that event went badly!
I definitely agree that he was siding with the woman because he didn't want her to complain to the city about the event but now I feel like I want to complain to the city about the event lol. Also talking to other vendors he is just a mean person in general and is rude in most interactions. Thankfully I am in a spot where I can replace the cargo hitch and the totes but it's the principle of the thing for me lol. I'm sad it went bad too because I did have high hopes for it!

I don't understand why he was so rude and not understanding of the situation at all. I always have fellow vendor friends ask my opinion on markets bc I'm so brutally honest. I hope you tell every vendor friend to NOT do that market!!

That sucks that that happened and they weren't being very nice or cooperative. I feel that too. Someone side swiped my truck in front of me and then tried to use excuses to get out of it. Then they drove away! Luckily the police were able to track them down. You didn't mention calling the police, but make sure you get a police report about the accident! You can call and explain the situation to them and see what all they can do (if you haven't already). Because you shouldn't have to pay out of pocket for getting hit while parked. Plus, legal documentation (and the earlier video footage) may help to protect you should she decide to come after you for some random reason. She sounds like that kind of person...
I am so sorry that happened to you! I didn't call the police, by the time this was happening I had already had a rough day and I just wanted to get home more than anything. Also looking back on the situation if I called the police I 100% think the organizer guy would try to put blame on me and would somehow convince the police to ticket me or something. Fortunately it was just the cargo carrier that was hurt and not my actual car and I am in a situation where I can get a new one so I'm just going to try to more forward. She definitely seems crazy but also she seems like a possible alcoholic based on how she talked to me at the time of the incident and when meeting up with the bins. I was on the phone with Ethan during the exchange and he said she sounded a little tipsy lol.

It’s still damage to property whether it happened on private property or not. It could be a police issue or a civil court issue. Either way, it helps to at least call them and get more insight if you possibly want to pursue further. It seems like some cities have ordinances or bylaws about certain things too nowadays. The insurance company may have some insight. I think someone else mentioned that as well. But at the end of the day, it’s up to the involved parties.
Honestly, I would have reported it to her insurance and gone through them. Not usually worth trying to deal with the person themselves. And if they couldn’t provide insurance at the scene I’d call the police.

I think we should always share the bad markets. I support you in doing so!! For Colorado folks, don't do Colorado Events. They are expensive and NOT advertised. Total waste of time.

Ok, if you weren't supposed to be on that spot. What was she doing driving by there? She shouldn't have been there either. And if she hit your items she should be responsible. That guy probably knows her, and that's his friend. And that's why he's trying to say it's not her fault. Also, when you got to the event, you asked the workers about the parking and where you can drive. And they didn't know either. So you were not informed where you should park or where you could drive.
What's weird is I was behind a barricade where they blocked the main road from through traffic where the food trucks were during the event. While my car was there they moved the barricades (even though they saw my car and saw me packing up and said nothing to me) and started allowing regular traffic through there again. The people working there were pretty much just hanging out and acted like the city was in charge of everything and they didn't know what was going on so weird!!

Yeah definitely when it happened I was not trying to have to stay in Jacksonville for a long time trying to deal with police I just wanted to get home lol. I was in a tizzy and was just hoping to deal with the lady who kept saying she wanted to do the right thing though now I feel like our definitions of the right thing are different lol
